Missing Keys

Chapter 6

"You want me to come camping with you?" Armin asked swinging his feet of the edge of Eren's bed "Yeah! It will be fun. Maybe we can capture a bear!" Eren exclaimed as he packed his suitcase "I don't know if we'll catch a bear..." He said looking down at Eren who sat on his knees pulling things out of his bottom drawer.

"But if we do then we have something to brag about when we go to highschool."

"We're not even going to the same school again."

"Which fucking sucks."

"Don't swear."

"Sorry."

Eren got up from the floor and took a seat beside Armin "So, do want to come camping with me or not?" Armin shrugged "I'll have to ask," He replied.

"When are you going exactly?"

"On Thursday."

"So in two days?"

"Yeah... So you think you can come?"

"Most likely."

Eren grinned "So are we gonna try to catch a bear?"

"No."

"Eren for the last time we are not going to try to catch a bear!" Armin exclaimed as Kalura drove into the camp site "To be honest Eren, if you were to see a bear the bear would be the one to catch you." Mikasa said turning back from the front seat "And I won't allow you to go any where near a bear." Kalura sternly said. Eren awed in disappointment

His mother turned off the engine and pulled out the key, "Okay we're here, Eren can you pull out the tent from the trunk please?" She asked and opened the trucks door. Eren hopped out of the truck with Armin in tow. And went to the trunk to retrieve the tents. The campground was surrounded by trees and from where they were they could see the lake sparkling under the sun. There were other camp sites around but none of them seemed occupied. After retrieving the tents Eren and his mother set them up while Mikasa and Armin unloaded the rest of the truck.

It took nearly 2 hours to finish everything up and already everyone was tired.

The plan with the tents were for the two girls to go into one tent while the boys went into the other while food and the cooler where in the third spare tent. Originally the four where suppose to have an RV but things came up so they had to go with plan b.

The sun had already started to set when the four went down to the beach. They all sat on towels and watched the sun slowly go into hiding. "This is nice." Kalura said readjusting herself on the towel Mikasa smiled to herself, "Yeah, this is nice." Armin hummed agreeing with the two.

"When I was your age my parents would always take me out her and we would do this. It's been awhile since I've last done this."

"Do you think we'll find a bear out there?"

"Oh my god Eren, there went any bears out here!" Mikasa snapped "she's right." Kalura laughed

"Mom." He said dragging out the word "Mom." Kalura parroted. Eren frowned "you're no fun." He crossed his arms "Awe does someone need a nap? You seem grouchy." She cooed. Her lips pulled into a smirk "When you were little you were always grouchy. Even when you took a nap you always woke up looking angry."

"I guess nothing has changed." Armin joked causing the everyone to laugh beside Eren. "Armin!" Eren yelled shoving Armin off his towel and him going face first into the dry sand. The blond recovered from the fall and pouted, "your mean." Eren replied by simply sticking his tongue out.

After the sun went into hiding the four walked back to the campsite to retire for the night. The two boys laid silently on the hair mattress both looking up at the ceiling of the tent where a lamp hung. Crickets could be heard near by along with sounds of people from other camp sites. Overall everything seemed peaceful.
