After a twenty minute silent drive they made it back home. As the pulled up into the drive way Eren got an idea. "Why don't we head inside and I'll make you some coffee." He said with a smile. The blond shook his head and Eren's smile turned into a frown.
"You drove me home, I should do something for you in return."
"That's not necessary. I should be heading back."
Without putting up with an argument Eren turned his head around and unbuckled his seat belt. "Say hi to Jean for me when you get home." He mumbled and got out of the car. He was right, Armin would see Jean when he gets home, "Wait!" He called out and Eren letted go of the door handle.
"I'll have just a cup."
They sat at the small table and nursed their cups of coffee. Both stayed silent and didn't dare to look at each other. The Armin Eren knew would have been already talking about something and Eren would have been listening to every word. The old Armin seemed to be full of life and happiness while this lump of coal is kinda shady looking and looks like he didn't know what happiness was.
"So, do you still draw?" Armin asked, his voice filling the silent room. Eren looked up at him and nodded, "yeah I draw sometimes. It's been awhile since I've actually drawn anything good." He replied and he couldn't help but to smile. He was talking to him, it still felt like a dream to him. The blond bobbed his head and asked, "Well I bet you've improved."
"I have... At least I think."
"Hmh..."
"Yeah..."
The room fell silent again. Something came into Eren's mind. Jean, Eren thought about this horse fucker guy that can get a hint.
"So that was Jean huh?"
"Oh him? Yeah... That was Jean."
"How long have you two been together?"
"It was never really official, It just kinda... It just kinda happened."
"Oh... has he always been like that?"
"Been like what?" He asked and tilted his head. Eren frowned, he knew that Armin understood what he meant. He guessed that over eight years Armin became a good liar.
"You know... Making you feel uncomfortable and not listening to you."
He tilted his head back and letted out a sigh. The blond shook his head, "I'm not sure, it hasn't been going on for long. Jean is kinda.... Kinky." He explained.
He lied.
It's been going on for more than enough, to the point where he wanted to leave and never return. He hated being at home because that would mean Jean would be there. They had their own apartments but Jean would always be at Armin's and the blond would have to cope. The only time he would get away was when Eren was off at work and he would come over to jam with Mikasa. Sometimes the two would go out to the park and just talk about his problems. Mikasa was the only one who knew how bad the problem was. When Mikasa was gone he would be around Sasha and Connie but lately Jean would tag along with them.
"Armin are you okay?" Eren asked. Armin looked up at him and sighed, he didn't hear the question.
"What?"
"I asked if you were okay. Are you?"
"Yeah, I'm fine."
Another lie, Armin thought.
"I have a question for you."
The blond raised an eyebrow, "shoot." He hesitantly said. Eren bowed his head and thought about the question once more. He drew in a big breath and letted it out, "Can we talk about what happened eight years ago." His voice seemed carry out through the house.
