Starbucks Run-In

Lauren's POV

"Wait!" Lisa said as we were parking.

"What?" I asked, pausing the song and taking my headphones off.

"Dad, can we please get Starbucks before the show?"

"If you want," Dad replied, "we can go there now."

"Dad," Dani and I both groaned.

"Who's the oldest out of you three?"

Ugh. I just rolled my eyes and replied, "Fine," and got out of the car.

Dani, Lisa, and Dad got out too, and then we were on our way to Starbucks. At least it was close to the venue. I held the door for everyone before walking in and taking a seat at one of the tables. Dani sat across from me, and Dad got in line.

Lisa went up and asked us, "What do you guys want?"

"Just a Double Chocolaty Chip for me," Dani said. She's definitely craving chocolate.

"And I'll have a peppy mocha."

Lisa gave me a weird look and asked, "What the heck is a peppy mocha?"

"Peppy is short for peppermint," I replied.

"Oh. Okay. And I'm assuming grande for both of you?" We nodded our heads, and she went in line with Dad.

"So," Dani turned to me and asked, "why the sudden crave for coffee?"

"I just want to try something new," I replied.

"Suuuure," she replied before I heard screaming from the entrance. What the heck?

"Why can't I go in with you guys?" someone complained.

"We all know that you're gonna jump the counter as soon as they call your name."

"I don't do that..."

"You have. Twice. Just wait here and Tob and I will buy the drinks."

"Fine."

Then I heard the door close, and I looked out the window to see Connor McDonough standing by the door. Wait, does that mean...

"Back to what I was saying. After she spoke, they all sang the most amazingly beautiful song I've ever heard."

"Yeah, Wings. And it was acoustic. I've heard this before, Tob. Like, a lot."

I turned the other way to look at who was speaking when I saw him. The guy in my dreams. My random flashbacks (Don't ask). Just 5 years older.

I thought he was fake...

Then I got a better look at him and I realized: the guy in my flashbacks was Toby McDonough, my favorite member of Before You Exit. Wait, I've met him before? Weird.

"Lauren!" Dani snapped, bringing my attention back to me.

"Did you see who that was?" I asked, partially excited.

"Who, Toby?" I nodded. "Cool." Well, she seemed uninterested, so I turned my focus back to the line, and I noticed that they were right behind Lisa and Dad. I was tempted to run up to her so that Toby could possibly see and/or remember me, but I held back. Thank goodness. I mean, I don't want to come off as crazy to them or anything.

Toby's POV

"Hi, welcome to Starbucks!"

"Hi!" the girl in front replied. "Can I get 2 Grande Double Chocolaty Chip Frappes, one with white mocha syrup, and a Grande Peppermint Mocha?"

"And the names for the cups?"
