Tell Me, Do I Look Familiar? || Lauren Cimorelli & Toby McDonough

Some Friendly Advice

Toby's POV

As I was taking pictures with all the girls who kept asking, I couldn't keep my mind off of Lauren. Just knowing that she's somewhere in the building makes me feel tingly inside.

Wow. I sound like a girl.

I went to the back for a bit when I felt a body bump into me.

"Could you watch where you're going?" I said.

"You're not gonna win Lauren's heart with that attitude," the voice replied.

"What are you talking about?"

The person turned around, and I instantly recognized her. Dani. Crap.

"Why don't we sit down, McDonough?" she said, leaning on the wall before sliding down to sit.

I went next to her before she continued. "Why can't you just go talk to her?"

"I feel like if I go up to talk to her, I'll make an idiot of myself by either blabbing out gibberish or just straight out kissing her."

"You're not gonna do that," she replied. "Trust me."

"Well, what if I do?" I looked to my brothers as I said, "Riley and Connor would never let me hear the end of it."

"Then try to talk to her after the bus party."

"How?" I asked. "Lay out a road of Post-Its with random notes, clues, and a peppy mocha, leading up to me?" That actually doesn't sound like a bad plan, when I think about it.

"That's it!" she exclaimed. "Except not a peppy mocha. She took one sip and immediately spit it out. She hates it."

"Then what do I order?"

"A Venti Mocha Cookie Crumble frappe, extra chocolate chips. It's her favorite drink. And I bought flowers to give to you guys after the show, but just give those to Lauren."

"Alright."

"Now," she said, standing up, "if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go make a new friend out of Max Schneider." And with that, she left.

I got up and scanned the room to see if Lauren was here. Sure enough, there she was, taking a picture with Riley, Lisa, and two blonde girls. I'm just gonna stay back here until it's time to go.

Lauren's POV

This is awesome! I thought to myself. I made some new friends here, and I saw Toby before the VIP Party soundcheck thing. Life is good.

As soon as our picture with Riley was done, one of the girls that I made friends with, they never said their names, came up to me and asked, "You're in Cimorelli, right?"

"Yeah," I replied. "And I never got your name."

"Rebecca. And my friend over there," she said, pointing to the other blonde who was with Braiden, "is Emilee. We're originally from Oregon, but we convinced our parents to drive us here."

"Wow," I replied. "It must've been a long drive."

"It was. But we blasted Before You Exit most of the ride, so it was a good road trip. How about you?"

"We actually got back from visiting Texas yesterday, and that was pretty fun. So, it took a while for Dani to get ready this morning, but then we were on the road. We actually stopped by Starbucks on our way here, and you'll never guess who I saw."

"Connor?"

"All of the McDonough's, actually. I saw Lisa talking to them, and I was so tempted to walk up to them and get a usie."

"Which one's Lisa again?" she asked.

I pointed to my sister, who was talking to Max Schneider, then to Dani and said, "And that's Dani."

"Who drove you guys here?"

"My dad."

"Oh. Okay. And you saw them before this? Lucky!"

"Not really, because Lisa got to talk to them."

"Still! You're lucky!"

"I guess..."

"Lauren!!" I heard from somewhere. I turned to see Lisa in the middle of Riley and Connor. Wait, wasn't she just talking to Max? "Get in the picture! Both of you!"

"I'm in if you are," Rebecca said. "But I'm on Connor's side."

"Alright."

We both walked over to the group and stood at the ends of the trio before Dad took the picture.

After it was done, I heard Rebecca yell, "Emilee! We need to find-"

"Toby! I know!" Emilee replied, walking over to our group. "Hey," she said, pointing at me, "aren't you Lauren from Cimorelli?"

"Yeah..." I replied.

"I heard Toby has a crush on you."

"Really?" I said, feeling my cheeks warm up.

"Yeah. And by the looks of it, you like him too."

"I'm definitely a Toby girl."

"Can't blame you," Riley replied.

"He is adorable," Connor finished.

I held back my laughter, but everyone else couldn't; eventually I joined in. I tried to hide my face, but no one seemed to care.

After everyone met who they wanted and got their pictures, I went to find Tob, who just disappeared. Where is he?

Next chapter is at the bus party, and all of the girls (Lauren, Dani, Lisa, Rebecca, Emilee) are gonna be there...AWKWARD.

Also, who would you ship Lisa with? Riley or Connor? (Kind of a minor plotline with this, but I'm curious) Or possibly Chris (BYE's bassist on tour/member of Like The Movies, look him up)? Yeah, those are your options. :)
