CHAPTER 4

"Pool party!" Jane yelled, getting excited for the party.

I laughed at her enthusiasm.

" I know I cant wait to see Riley!" I said thinking of my gay best friend.

Janie came closer to my ear and whispered

" lets see if we can make him jealous"

She said smirking, before I could say no, Jake already cut in .

" who's Riley? " he asked, curiosity seeping into his words.

I looked over at him, then back at Jane.

*Jake's p.o.v.*

" Who's Riley" I asked.

" uhh." Emma stuttered, not knowing what to say. Oh god maybe she has a boyfriend. Talk about awkward.

" He goes to high school with us" she said using her fingers to imply that she meant her and jane.

My jaw started ticking while I gave her a questioning look.

Why was I getting so jealous for this girl I met two hours ago?

She certainly had some spell on me.

" He's super nice, you'll love him" she said smiling, not knowing the effect she had on my jealousy metor right now

"Well.." her voice trail

" depends if you ...." she said, trying to phrase it correctly.

" depends on what emma?" I asked, curiosity eating my insides.

" depends if you support gays" she said looking over at me for my reaction.

"Oh he's gay! Thank the lord" I said mumbling so she couldnt hear me. But thanks to my luck she did. And so did Jane, and they broke out laughing.

" common guys!" I said feeling frustrated.

" hold on, I have to change " emma said, holding up her bikini out of her bag.

"Well go ahead " I said winking at her now bright red face.

" naw im just kidding. Im not that much of a jerk."

I continued

"But why dont you go inside and change?" I asked, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

" I would but.. oh yah I guess I could huh?" She responded, getting out of the car, and into the burningly hot amosphere.

" oh god its hot " I said feeling the sun on my shoulders.

" Amen to that" emma said now wearing a bikini

" amen to that" I said to jake, agreeing to the complain about the weather.

" oh h-hi there emma " jake said, suddenly looking nervous.

"Hi Jake" I said firmly.

" do you wanna go meet some people " I asked pointing towards the house, where jane had already disappeared into.

"S-sure sounds good" he stuttered.

" Jake are you nervous? " I asked wondering a why he was jittery.

" no... you just look pretty" he said blushing. Aww he's adorable.

" aww jakie are you blushing? " I said making a pouty face at him

" no. Im too manly to blush " he said. Struting into the house as I giggled and dashed after him

*Jakes p.o.v.*

" oh em gee" Jane exclaimed.

" that was so fun!" Emma continued for her

" yah! Thanks for letting me tag along jane " I said to her.

" anytime jakie! Omg we should like totally hang out again soon. Or just you and emma would make the cutesht couple evaa! " jane slurred her words.

"Why dont I drive tonight " emma stated. Already grabbing the keys, and trying to drag Jane to the car

" here " I told emma, grabbing Jane, and slinging her over me, and onto my back.

" thanks" she said, grateful that I took the weight off of her

" wheres your house" emma asked, driving along my street to drop me off

" to your right. ...."

" now there it is" I continued, pointing to the house.

The car stopped next to my house, I looked back at emma, biting my lip... I know shes tired from the party, then having to sneak Jane into her house, to make sure her mom didnt know she was drunk.

" would you like to come in?" I asked trying to spend as much time with her as possible.

" id love to.. but im already pass curfew.." she replied, frowning

" I could walk you to your door though" she continued, now biting her lip. Gosh she looked adorable like that.

" kay" was all I could gush out, trying to stop staring at her.

We started to walk up the sidewalk. My keys jingling as I pulled them out.

" we'll have to do this again sometime" I said, voice barely above a whisper.

" yah, definitely" she said, eyes drifting to my lips, as mine did the same

Then, cautiously I leaned in.
