"It's really good!" Draco said. Lucius was pleased to hear this.
"Well...it's okay. It's good but I feel like it's missing something," Narcissa said.
Draco agreed, "Yeah, Mum! Now that you say that, I guess it is kinda missing something."
Lucius had grown annoyed and got up and stormed out of the room. Narcissa and Draco exchanged worried looks.
"So...um...how's school?" Narcissa nervously tried to change the subject. She half-expected Lucius to come back in yelling, but he didn't.
Later, Lucius poured over mountains of cookbooks in his library into the wee hours of the morning. Narcissa came into the library at 7:45 am and told Lucius she was going Christmas shopping in Diagon Alley.
"Go to sleep, Lucius," Narcissa said.
"I won't until you promise me that you'll buy me more cookbooks!" He tiredly yelled.
"Okay. I promise."
Lucius dreamt about his son in a spaghetti costume.
When Narcissa returned home, she found Lucius sleep-cooking in the kitchen. She didn't understand why the perfect spaghetti was so important, but she knew Lucius had to be the best and she supported him.
"Did you get my cookbooks?" Lucius asked.
"Yes, but I'm not going to give them to you unless you spend some time with your son. He's only home for a short time and he gets terribly bored. He looks up to you."
Lucius agreed, but they spent the entire night looking through cookbooks together. Narcissa was not pleased.
