"You are so cute as a blonde!" Liv squealed as I got into the car."I mean not as cute as me, but pretty darn close."
I gave her a fake smile as I was mentally slapping myself. Can I go home now?
"So what is you're favorite store in the mall?" She asked with excitement as she sped out onto the road without looking for other cars.
A car behind us laid on his horn but Liv just ignored it. I made a smart decision and quickly buckled my seatbelt fast.
"Um uh.. All of them?" I said not really having a favorite store since I hardly go to the mall. I'm pretty content with the clothes I have.
"True. I mean uh the mall is my second home."
She said smiling as she kept looking over at me.Please keep your eyes on the road. I beg of you.
"Are you excited for New Year's Eve tomorrow? I heard the party is going to be crazy." Liv asked as she started to fiddle with the radio. I quickly grabbed the safety bar as the car started to swerve a little bit.
She pulled out a Usb cord and plugged it into her car and pressed Aux. I tried to think of happy thoughts since only one of her hands was on the wheel and she was not paying attention to the road.
Relax Luna.. Everything is gonna be all right. Just name some things that make you happy like pizza, cookie dough, Netflix, not being in a car with someone who clearly failed Drivers Ed..
She set her phone down and the song don't cha blasted through the radio.
"Um listen Liv I don't know if it's such a good idea I go. I mean I'm not really a party kind of person." I shouted.
Or a sociable one for that matter.
"Oh please don't be silly you'll love it. Besides you'll get to meet a lot of people you'll be going to school with. I'll be with you the whole time too and I'm going to turn you into one hell of a social butterfly." She giggled as she changed he station yet again for like the 50th time.
I really don't want to be any kind of butterfly. I'm perfectly content staying in my cocoon forever.
" Don't cha wish you're girlfriend was hot like me?
Don't cha wish you're girlfriend was a freak like me?
Don't cha?
Don't cha?" Liv sang very loudly basically shouting in my ear.We finally arrived at the mall in one piece a couple car horns and middle fingers later. Liv sped into a parking space somehow managing not to hit the cars beside her.
"So what kind of outfit are you going to get for the party? Like are you going for like a grunge look or bohemian?" She questioned looking very concerned.
"Um I don't know yet. How about you?" I asked taking the attention off me since I had no clue what I wanted to wear.
"Oh well don't worry I will definitely help you and I usually go for the boho look." She said smiling. I nodded my head to make it look like I knew what the word boho meant.
"So who um is exactly like going to this party? Like is it a big party?" I questioned my curiosity getting the best of me.
"Oh no it's just some kids from school you'll be fine." She smiled as we entered through the mall doors.
I honestly felt a bit relieved maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
"Oh my god! We are so totally going in Forever 21!!!" She yelped as she dragged me into the store. Please don't rip my arm off..
Liv had already picked out like 5 dresses while I didn't even see one shirt that I would remotely wear..
Liv rushed into the dressing room and started coming out and showing me one dress at a time were I would either give her a thumbs up or say it was nice and she would respond 'I know right?'
She came out in the the fifth dress and twirled around in it.
" I think this is the one." She said enthusiastically.
"It's nice!" I said as she rolled her eyes at me.
" You said that about the past four too."
"I thought they were all nice." I said shrugging my shoulders.
Liv did look really pretty though. The dress went to about mid thigh and was tight fitting but flared out. It's baby blue color went well with her skin tone and made her eye color pop.
"Okay well now it's you're turn!" She said making me want to run and hide but instead I gave her a fake smile and did jazz hands.
She picked out a pale pink dress and handed it to me. I took a quick look and immediately put it back on the rack.
"Try again and no dresses this time." I say as she rolled her eyes once again at me.
I started to look around and found a pair of ripped jeans and matched them up with a tight fitting white tank top.
Liv returned holding yet another pile of dresses even though I had already told her that I despise them.
"I think I'm just going to get this." I said holding out the clothes I picked up as she gave me a sad face.
"Uh fine but I still think you should get a dress." She grunted as she started to hang all of them back up on the rack.
"So do you want to get something to eat at the food court?" Liv asked after we checked out.
"Yeah sure." I nodded very happy that she brought food up. I thought I was going to starve.
"Hey Liv are there any bathrooms close to here?" I asked.
"Yep they are right down there if you take a right and the food court is the opposite way on the left." She replied.
"Okay sounds good. I'll just meet you in the food court after I go to the bathroom." I said as I started to walk in the direction towards the bathroom.
I felt like I had been walking in circles for hours and still I could not find the bathroom. I decided to find someone to ask. I walked into the first store I saw which was filled with records and went to the cashier who was currently sitting on the check out desk and playing his guitar.
" Um excuse me." I said but he kept playing his guitar like some girl wasn't trying to get his attention to ask where the bathrooms were.
"Excuse me." I said waving my hands now.
"Bloody hell! What do you want?" He yelled surprisingly in a different accent other then Australian.
"I just wanna know where the bathroom is?" I said shyly.
" If you take a right and go down the hall Lou should be on you're left." He said in an English accent as he started to play his guitar again.
" Um I don't think you understood what I said.. I asked where the bathroom was not Lou? I don't even know a Lou?" I asked confused as he stopped strumming his guitar as he hopped off the counter and gave me a harsh glare.
"Stupid Australians..."He said rudely as I was standing right there.
"I'm American you idiot.." I said crossing my arms.
"Like that makes it any better." He said as he motioned for me to follow him.
