The Final Cut

And guess who I saw saying no too when they said the announcement it was Adrian the captain of the boys basket ball team. So in grade 8 we were friends and we were both in loved with basket ball and so one day we were having a game of one on one and he's really competitive when it comes to basket ball I am to but he didn't take it that well and he said he didn't want to be friends any more so the we were all ways not nice to each other and now that we're going to be on the same team it was going to be even worst. So then I realized that Vanessa's ball hockey teams was going to merge too and she wasn't going to like that. At lunch I saw Vanessa if she was okay with the merge because if I wasn't then she obviously wasn't. So I went into the cafeteria and found Vanessa and she said " why are you upset"? I said back because all the teams are merging into one... aren't you sad to"? I asked. " well I have some thing to tell you." She said "what"? I asked. Then she replied by saying " I will tell you when Connor gets back" "okay" I said with a sad voice because I was sad about the teams because that's my third priority in life my first one is to be there for family and my best friends and regular friends, second is my education, and third is basket ball. and I'm pretty sure that's Vanessa to except for basketball it's ball hockey. So once corner got back to our table Vanessa was going to tell me something. " so since all the grade twelve teams are going to be boy and girl Connor and I were thinking that I should sign up for rugby because this is my last year before You and me move to Boston for university so we want to make every moment count" said Vanessa putting her hand on top of Connors. "But I thought you loved hockey, oh well at least one of us is happy for this stupid thing." I said. then I stood up and got lunch with Vanessa. Then I said "do you even know anything about rugby?" "No but Connor really wants me to join rugby and I want him to be happy plus he said he will help me" said Vans "okay good because I didn't want you to look like a fool" I said then we both laughed. So after school and work and after i was done my homework changed into black yoga shorts, dark blue sports tank top. and put on my grey Nike free runs, put my hair in messy bun then I took every thing of my back put my green bottle of water in my I phone my head phones and my wallet since it had my drivers licence in there and squeezed my basketball in there. After I was done I hopped in my car started the ignition and drove to the YMCA. Once I reached there I parked my car right beside a red Ford fiesta and I cut the ignition and got my bag the passenger seat beside me the drivers seat then I closed the door and walked away and while walked I took the remote for my car on my keys and locked the doors. Once I got inside the YMCA I scanned my membership card at the front desk and went inside the gym where they keep the basketball nets because I wanted to practice because try outs are in four days and I'm a competitive persons I just don't show it plus it doesn't bother me that much but when it comes to I just turn into a different person I'm so competitive that sport. So if I don't make the team I will be ruined. So once I go in guess who I see again Adrian. I think he was finishing though but then he saw me and he took his basketball and continued to play so I couldn't play full court but I could still play half court so put my bag on the bench and put my ID in the bag and did warm up then got my basketball out of my bag. I first started with lay ups

Adrian's P.O.V

Okay so I have a confession to make the only reason I stayed longer was to see Jasmine practice because I haven't seen her play since she beat my but in grade eight and I said I didn't want to be her friend anymore. So I saw her do some drills and her lay ups are so crisp and clean and her agility is amazing and let me just say that I was a fool to not be her friend any more I guess I was embarrassed that some one beat me and it was a girl. So after a little while when she was taking a break I walked up to her "hey I was wondering if you want to have a game of one on one?" I asked nervously "why so you can see my all my plays because if that's what your planned then you must think that I'm stupid and fall for your tricks." she said which she had every right to I mean I'm trying out to so out too. "no I just want to have a game of one on one before I leave" I explained. "fine". she said. I got really happy inside I don't know why I mean I don't like her in that way I think. after she was done her break we played and one on one and let me just tell you she's awesome at basket ball I'm surprised that she isn't the captain of the girls team. I mean she's okay... so the game ended at a tie and we stopped playing. " wow you've gotten better since I beat you in grade 8 and you couldn't handle being beaten from a girl so you on friended me". she said " thanks, yeah about that I guess..." I said before she interrupted me and said " hey I was wondering I kinda get weirded out when people look at me when I'm here alone so I was wondering since we're trying out in four days we could practice together?" I said "yeah sure so can I have your number so you can text me what time?" "Um sure"... she said and I pulled my iPhone (grey and black 6th generation ) and we exchanged numbers and we walked out together and she walked to her white Chevy Cruise and I walked to my black Mazda 6 and I took off.

Jasmine's P.O.V

So once I left I wondered why he wanted my phone number I mean he could just find me at school and contact me. Once I get home I play with my dog eat dinner and take a shower and well do my hygiene routine. Once I'm I get a notification on my phone regarding Instagram and it's a request from @AwesomeAdrian90 aka Adrian so I unlock my phone and click on my Instagram app and allow him to follow me and requested to follow him back and in literally 46 seconds accepts it.

Time passing⌚
So today's the big day last period we have basket ball try outs. I hope all that practice with Adrain worked. So all the tryouts are at different periods the first ones hockey second one is base ball third period is rugby and forth period is basket ball so I didn't care what I put on so I just put yoga tights pants skinny things and a red flannel and put my hair up in side braid and put on some riding boots.
Few hours later... So it is lunch one last period before tryout so I go sit at Vanessa's and Connors table and Vanessa looks kinda nervous because she joining the rugby team and her tryout is in a hour I tell her she will be fine. Adrian comes to our table and sits down "yo dude what's up" says Connor "nothing man you." Adrian says then he looks at me and says" Jasmine? what are you doing here" what I can't sit with my best friend and her boy friend" I said " oh.. wait I didn't now you had a girlfriend?" yeah because my best friend hasn't been talking to me since the first day of school." Said Connor " sorry man". said Adrian " wait your his best friend hahaha you can do so much better" I said and he chuckled to but Vanessa and Conner said "hey". " dude she was just joking chill out" said Adrian. " but she always calls me corner instead of Connor and its annoying" Connor explained before Adrian started to laugh and say" good one Jasmine" and fist bumps me. And then Vanessa and corner look at Adrian and I with that love dovey look and it makes me want to throw something at them. " listen I'm sorry I ended are friendship and that was stupid just because you beat me at basketball so I was wondering is you want to patch up that friendship". said Adrian so I replied back by saying" sure". Then he asked "if we are doing a scrimmage for the try outs can you not be my check because some way we maybe able for us to both the team." And "I said sure that's a great idea."
After third period I saw Vanessa and Connor running to me with a huge grin their face's then Vanessa jumped on my back and screamed" I made the team I made the team!" "shhh people are looking at you but that's awesome I'm really happy for you! " Then she got off my back and hugged Connor. she looked really happy. After that little met up I went into to the girls changed room and put on my black yoga shorts a lime bright green tank top that say "No Luck Needed". Which is true don't need luck but I am still nervous and I put on my light blue Nike free runs (picture above last chapter) and I put my hair in a high pony tail. Then I walked to the gym and stretched.... so what we did for the try out was we did passes a scrimmage and lay ups. Now it was the moment of truth... I stood be beside Adrian at the at the end. The coach red the list and I'm so happy I made the team and so did Adrian and u was so happy I hugged him and after three seconds we both awkwardly pulled away and that's not all Adrian and I are co-captains I hope we don't get in each others way because we are super bossy when I comes to basket ball.

Adrian P.O.V

TI can't believe she hugged me I'm kinda of happy she did... and we are the co-captain of the basket ball team!.
