Phil's POV:

"Dan!" I yelled, "What kind of pancakes do you want?"

"Eliza Pancakes!" he yelled back.

I started giggling uncontrollably until I remembered the pancakes were burning. "Dan, seriously! They're burning!"

He yelled back, "Um. Er- I don't know! Surprise me!"

I sighed and sprinkled blueberries on both of ours and flipped them over. We had a radio show the day before and we had slept in late. We finally had some down time to sleep in after being on our book tour for so long.

Suddenly I heard a knock on the door. "Dan, can you get that?" I yelled.

"I'm kinda busy. Can you?" he answered.

"Okay, fine." I said and put the pancakes on a plate.

I opened the door and outside was a young, slightly tanned girl. She was about fourteen years old and had long, dark brown hair. Her eyes were olive green with dark shadows under them and she seemed tall for her age. She was wearing a dirty black tee shirt and jeans. She kind of reminded me of someone...

Expecting her to be a phan, I said, "Oh, uh, hello! Would you like..."

She interrupted me and said, "Please...help...me," and then she passed out on the ground. She was completely unconscious!

I gasped. "Oh my gosh!" I hesitated for a minute. What should I even do? Lots of weird things had happened when meeting subscribers, but never this. We've had more subscribers show up in wedding dresses than pass out! She appeared to be alone, so I decided to help her.

I picked her up and put her arm around my neck in an attempt to help her walk, but she was out cold. I ended up carrying her into the apartment and laying her down on the sofa.

"Dan! Dan! Get out here! It's an emergency!" I yelled.

"What is it?" he answered.

I was starting to panic. "Just come out here and look!"

Dan lazily walked into the living room. "What was so import..." He saw the girl and jumped. "Bloody hell, Phil! Why is there a dead girl on our sofa?!"

"She's not dead!" I protested. I paused for a second. What if she was dead? I checked her pulse. "Yeah, she's not dead!"

"Phil, you can't bring a random girl into our apartment! We're going to have her parents losing their shit and calling the police!" Dan told me.

"She was alone for a like two minutes before I took her in here!" I replied.

"That's not enough time!"

"What was I supposed to do? Leave her to die?" I didn't have the heart to leave her out there alone. I would be a total jerk!" Dan sighed and leaned against the wall. I gave him puppy-dog eyes. "Please Danny? Please?" I asked him sweetly.

He sighed and said "Fine."

"Yay!" I said happily. "Thanks Dan!" I was so relieved. Whatever had happened, it had definitely tired her out.
