I saw this pic and imagined this happening. Dean practically raised Sammy since John was away on a hunt for a week or longer. Dean helped raise Sam, he always tried to feed Sam and tried to make him have a normal life while Dean and John knew what was in the shadows. Dean did everything he could to protect Sam, Dean had to give up his childhood and teenage years to help raise his baby brother, Dean was a father figure to Sam when they were kids. No matter what, John will be their be father, Bobby will be their father figure, but to Sam Dean will be a father figure to him, because Dean helped raised him.
