TEU part 1

AN: Anybody else GIDDY after all the videos came out of them at TEU? They look so freaking good together. I will be on vacation for the next week or so there will be a delay in posting. Happy early 4th of July to those who celebrate!

June 22nd, 2025: Nashville, TN

Taylor's POV:

The warm air sticks to my skin as I open the sliding glass door to the back patio. My mom is sitting on the wicker outdoor couch sipping on a large glass of iced tea while looking at the scene playing out in the backyard. My Dad is throwing passes to Travis as he runs different routes across my yard and Austin attempts to pick him off. I shake my head in silent laughter and sit down next to my Mom curling my legs up underneath me. 

"They are just like little kids." Mom says smirking as Austin shoves Travis after another successful catch. My Dad just smiles and throws another pass across the grass as Austin takes off after Travis. 

"They really are, I'm just glad to see Austin looking so happy again." I agree watching my younger brother laugh loudly at something Travis says to him. 

Austin and his long time girlfriend Sydney broke up last year and he has been more reserved and less likely to come hang out with us. The last few months its been like a shell of my brother, but looking at him right now goofing off with my boyfriend, is the first glimpse of the old him I've seen. 

"Don't you dare get hurt Travis, George and Greg will never let you live it down!" I yell out as Travis dives on the ground to catch a pass and Austin lands on top of him smacking the ball away from him. 

Travis and I are in Nashville for Tight End University this week (TEU) which is apparently something Travis, George Kittle, and Greg Olsen founded a few years back to help bring other tight ends in the league together. Last year I couldn't be with him due to being in Europe so when Travis mentioned it a few weeks ago, I figured why not come with him to Nashville. We flew in this morning and have spent the day with my family and tomorrow the festivities start for TEU.

"How are you and Travis enjoying the offseason?" Mom asks breaking me out of my thoughts about the rest of the week and what it will hold.

"It's been so nice to be home this summer and just be able to be together without the pressure of tour or games. Yeah, he still has workouts and I still go into the studio, but it feels so normal." Travis and I have spent most of the summer in Florida where his trainer lives and it's been surreal to just be able to spend the entire summer together. 

"You haven't spent any real time apart since your tour ended, but you guys still like you are in the honeymoon phase." Mom teases squeezing my knee. I feel a blush cover my cheeks knowing she is referring to walking in on us making out after dinner when we were supposed to be doing the dishes. 

"He's amazing Mom. I feel so at ease with him and so loved." I admit leaning my head on her shoulder. 

"He is obsessed with you baby, anyone with eyes can see that. I'm just happy you are happy and you seem so much more like yourself these days." 

Before I can answer the boys are stomping up the steps to join us on the covered patio, laughing and covered in a mix of grass and sweat. 

"Tay, your Dad has one hell of an arm!" Travis says flinging his large body on the floor in front of me leaning against my legs. 

"Yeah old man, you still got it." Austin teases our Dad as he sits across from me in one of the rocking chairs and my Dad in the other. Dad smiles as his cheeks redden and he grabs a bottle of water from the cooler we had brought out for dinner.

"Trav you need a drink? Austin?" Dad asks holding out a bottle of water and a can of beer. Travis reaches out and grabs the water as Austin grabs the beer. I run a hand through his Travis's hair as he leans back against my leg and runs a hand over my calf.
