Suddenly Hunter had me spun around and in his arms, my hands on his shoulders and his hands on my waist as if we were bracing each other.

“Who is he?” I asked scarred.

“I don’t know what he wants or who he is but he wants to hurt me by hurting you. I’m so sorry. I am so sorry I got you into this but we have to leave now, without a trace before he does something that could hurt all of the people hear. No one will know you’re gone.” He said, pulling me in the direction of the back stage exit.

“I can’t. This is really important, Hunter. If I left now, I wouldn’t be here for the finished acts and everyone would know something was wrong. My parents, they’re hear and so are the people from Julliard. They all know I wouldn’t miss this for the world, and there’s not telling what that man will do. We don’t know him. He could get angry and hurt everyone here. I couldn’t live with that, Hunter. I am sorry but not knowing if people were hurt or not because of me would eat me alive.”

Hunter looked to the ground, thinking about what to do.

“Okay, you’ll have to dance in the next acts. I am going to be right here when you come off. I don’t know what were going to do afterwards but I need to think about it, but go now.” He said and pushed me toward the crowd of small ballerina dressed as pixies.

I began to walk over but stopped and turned again. I ran into his arms again and kissed him.

“I love you.”

“I know and I love you too.” He smiled and I hurried to the girls that were filing out onto the stage taking places.

The scene started but I saw him as I spun. How ironic it was though. Just as evil was played on stage the real thing began coming for me. He fired a gun up in the air and everything stopped. Women and children screamed, men hustled their wives and small children to the ground. I could see the Julliard associates being rushed out from the box seats and my mother on the ground with my father over her trying to keep her safe from harm but I could see their eye rush to me and at the same moment, Hunter had slid to me and had me in his arms and was rushing me out.

Flower was waiting at the back exit with my bag.

“Here, there are some warm cloths and jackets for both of you in there. You have to be quick; I think I heard him searching. Go, now!” she said pushing Hunter.

“Flower.” I called crying. I wrapped my arms around her and thanked her. “Can’t you come?”

“No. I need to stay here. I can make something up to your parents. I will make sure everyone will be ok, alright? Now go. I don’t want you to get her. Go. Go!” She said pushing us out.

“Thank you.” Hunter said as he hustled me out into the cold. Once we were a couple blocks away we went into a dark parking lot and got hotwired a Chevy Sierra.  He picked me up and put me in the passenger’s seat and slid in next to me. He then drove out of the lot and sped to the highway.

Once we were on a good pace he grabbed the bag and passed it to me.

“Go ahead and change into come warm clothes in the back.” He instructed. I climbed into the back seat and shimmied into a pair of sweatpants that were in there and a t-shirt and sweatshirt. I put my arms into my sweatshirt and magicianed my way out of my costume.

I climbed back into the passenger seat and took off my point shoes and put on the sneakers that Flower packed. Hunter pulled me closer to his side and let me lay my head on his shoulder. Not too long later I was sleep
