If tears are all I have of you

Through their mist I'll watch your flows,

I'll give you all the laughter in me

And quench my thirst on your woes.

There never was a day my heart didn't love

Just days when I didn't know,

There won't be days when my love will wane

Just a day when I care enough to let go.

I wish I could ride the waves with you

Be pulled along with your tides,

But my anchor holds me fast to shore

Just loose enough to stare with a wet smile....

And when it's time to bid farewell

I'll melt away with the fickle snows,

With the last of my dying broken breaths

In peace, I'll carry my love home.
