My mind was still reeling as I made my way back to the school. It was only my first day back and I already wanted to skip. Nobody knew how much I had changed in the past two years. Nobody knew what happened to me inside that detention center. Nobody knew anything and I fully intended to keep it that way. I spent sixteen years being the innocent little weakling, but now I'm back and no way will I ever be the same.

I shuddered at the memories that had been branded into my brain from that horrid place as I continued towards the hell hole- I mean, high school. "Hey! Hey, you!" I shook my head, not bothering to look back. It's not like anyone would want to talk to the 'scary juvie girl' anyways.

Keeping my eyes trained on the black converse on my feet, I continued walking until suddenly a wall popped out of nowhere, sending me onto my butt. My face burned with embarrassment as I scanned the area around me.

There wasn't a wall in front of me, but a door; and behind that door was a head of light brown hair and worried brown eyes. The guy glanced down at me then up behind me, looking scared out of his mind. "I- I didn't know she was there." I scoffed, running a hand over my sore head.

"Yeah? Well I was. Still am actually." His dark eyes shot back down in my direction, but kept his position by the open door, obviously not understanding my hint. Now that he was looking at me though, I could see that he must've been a year or two younger than me; with a baby face like that, there's no way he could've been a senior.

Just looking at the way he resembled a scared little boy at the moment, all of my previous anger seemed to melt away and instead I replaced my glare with a small smile. Dusting myself off, I gingerly lifted up, off the ground, wincing at my pounding head.

Two arms wrapped around my torso as I stood, helping me until I was fully standing. I turned towards the person, cautiously with my hand still on my head, only to find a firm chest. My brows furrowed as I slowly moved my eyes upwards, where a pair of dark eyes, identical to the boy's, were staring down at me. Although, they didn't hold as much worry, they were just as pretty as the other's. "I was trying to warn you, Cariña. You should really pay attention next time." The accent his voice contained, would send any other girl to her knees, but I, luckily, was nothing like every other girl.

Therefore, when my knee landed in his gut, he wasn't expecting it. His large body hunched over as he held his abdomen in pain, hissing quietly. Feeling satisfied, I turned back to go inside, but stopped short when I noticed the younger boy standing with another guy. I let out an agitated groan, throwing my hand up in the air. "What the hell! How many of you are there, Kid!" The boy flashed me an apologetic smile, before opening his mouth to speak.

"This- this is it. Promise." He stuttered, not taking his eyes off the grass. Letting go of the door, he stepped forward, gesturing towards himself. "I'm Gavin. The one next to me is Grey," Grey just gave me a short nod, still looking into space. I rolled my eyes before looking back over to Gavin, who was now looking at the guy behind me. "And the dude you just took down, is gordó." I smirked, knowing full well what the word meant.

"I'm not fat, you asshat." The guy growled, causing me to whip my head around. I gave him a quick check before humming in approval. He isn't fat; in fact, I could practically make out his six pack through his shirt. Turning back around to Gavin and Grey, I held up a finger.

"He's right. He isn't fat." I could hear the guy behind me muttering a thank you which made my smirk widen. Oh, I'm not done yet, Pretty Boy. "His head, however, is a bit- what's the word?" I pretended to search for what to say next before snapping my fingers. "Ah! Disproportionate! His head is disproportionate!"

Grey and Gavin busted out laughing while Pretty Boy grumbled quietly and marched around me, giving me a glare. "All of the girls at this school believe my head is amazing!" His glare dissipated and formed into a smirk as he opened his mouth to continue. "Both heads actually. If you want, I could show you why." A disgusted expression made its way to my face and I quickly shook my head.
