"Noey-ella. Wait up" Ashley called out. Noelle clutched her textbooks in her hands and hurried to the next class but unfortunately Ashley reached her.

"Relax I'm not gonna ruin your make up you cheapdo" she said.

"Cheapdo? Really? Is that all you could come up with?" Noelle asked.

"It was a quick joke. I'm not a comedian"

"No you're not the brightest tool in the shed. What do you want from me?"

"We saw you with that new poetry guy, does Terrance know about you two?" Nancy asked.

"Oh please Nancy! Why do you care? Its not like you and Terrance are still together"

"No no No no" Ashely said flashing her car keys in Noelle's face. "We know that you want to get revenge by hooking up with Poetry guy. We just want to let you know that he doesn't love you"

"Excuse me? Who said I'm..."

"He's with Marlene now, see" Nancy said pointing to Marlene and Nick who were walking and giggling together.

"Keep away sweetie" said Ashley. She chuckled as she walked away with her long red ponytail bouncing on her back.

A sudden pain struck Noelle. She felt hurt and betrayed but she couldn't figure out why. She thought he loved her. "Is he another one of them?" She thought as she stood there watching him and Marlene.

Nick's eye caught Noelle's. She turned and headed to the science lab where Jen was.

-Nick's POV-

I bumped into Marlene, Ella's friend on my way to history class.

"Hi Nick, are you in a hurry?" She asked.

Why would she even ask me that? She sounded like she had something very important to tell me.

"Look I know you've been kickin' it with Elle and I just wanted to know if you knew the truth about her"

Truth? What was this girl on about?

"What truth?" I asked in concern

"Well she has a boyfriend, Terrance Truman. I'm sorry I'm not trying to ruin your friendship or something" she said with a shy smile.

I chuckled so she could feel comfortable.

"Relax, nothing's going on between me and Elle. I just wanted her to help me with my poem, that's about it"

She laughed, her cheeks turned red as she looked away. I wasn't attracted to her but that smile of hers was a turn on.

"Oh gosh I'm so sorry, I feel really embarrassed"

She covered her face with her hand, I stared at her in awe, Marlene was pretty.

I laughed at her as she tried to feel comfortable once again. Just as I turned my eye caught Ella's eyes.

Oh shoot! What now

"Well sorry for assuming and I promise it will never happen again" she said.

"How about I walk you to class?" I offered.

"No its okay" she said.

"I insist, come on let's go"

Jen laughed as Noelle told her the issue at hand.

"I was really starting to fall for him Jen, I thought Marlene was my friend, how could she?"
