It was now December. Meaning, it had been officially three months since Mickey and Kurt transferred to Dalton. Three months since Mickey left behind the tense and toxic environment that came with being at McKinley, two and a half months since he accepted the welcoming community that now surrounded him, and two months since he accepted Hunter Creek as his friend. Though he'd never admit to it.

The two, while not having many classes together, always found their way together in the silent and calm moments throughout the day. They tended to migrate to one another, giving the other students quite a show as Hunter boomed his loudness throughout the hall and Mickey simply followed along with a quiet stillness. It was a ironic and comical contrast to everyone as they watched the duo interact each day. Though none of them knew Mickey personally, they all viewed him as a gentle and calculated person, not at all expecting him to spend most of his day with someone so uncaring with their volume and intense personality. It was interesting to say the least.

Upon the past three months, getting closer and good understanding with one another, they also realized they had more in common than not. Both boys had left their last schools due to toxicity and fled to Dalton for peace of mind. They both used the arts for an escape from reality, Mickey with dance and Hunter with singing though he did dabble in moving his feet. They both, also, happened to be friends with Jesse St. James and happened to be very close with the man. It was one of the reasons they gained such a close relationship in such little time, Mickey believed.

He knew that Jesse didn't claim true friendship with just anyone, and after speaking with him about the guy he decided to give it sincere chance. He really chose to open himself up again and try to get a friend everyone so desperately claimed he needed. And though he refused to speak on it or admit to it, Hunter really was growing on him.

If he hadn't already...

The New Directions, minus Rachel and Tina, were all standing in line to meet with the mall's Santa Claus, all on par with Artie's plan to keep Brittany believing. So they stood in line waiting, surrounded by bright holiday decorations and the smell of pretzels wafting from a nearby food court.

What they didn't know was that a certain friend of theirs was also in the mall, searching for gifts for his favorite people with his new friend. It would only take a minute for him to find his old club members standing in line for Santa.

"Can i be honest?" Brittany said, tilting her head as she stared at the elves bustling around the santa display,"I don't understand the difference between an elf and a slave,"

"I'm not sitting on that guy's lap," Quinn muttered, crossing her arms, "Santa's laps are always really warm and it's creepy,"

"We all have to sit on santa's lap," Finn insisted, stepping forward with a look of determination, "If brittany sees that we all still believe, it'll make her strong enough to withstand all the santa naysayers in the world,"

"Which is basically everyone over the age of six," Sam chimed in, leaning casually against the railing

"I'm pretty sure this isn't going to work," Mercedes muttered, raising a skeptical eyebrow

"That guy doesn't even look like Santa," Santana mumbled, rolling her eyes

"trust me," Finn replied with a confident nod,"All brittany's gonna see is the suit. She wants to believe in him. mercedes, get up there,"
