Rain

Its been almost more than a month since we moved to New York and I'm getting used to it already.
School is going great and me and Mikey are like best friends now. Connor is still adorably annoying and i still miss my best friend and brother. But life goes on.
Amanda still gives me glares and tries to offend me but Mikey stands up for me with his witty comebacks while Connor remains silent.
Im currently sitting in my room sucking on a chuppa chups lolly trying to draw Mikey but it wont work. Im having a bad drawing day.
I look out of the window towards Connor feeling annoyed at myself and somehow even though hes not looking back at me he almost senses me looking at him and looks at me.
I give him a sad smile and he asks "whats wrong?"
"Nothing, im just trying to draw Mikey but its not working." i sigh holding my lollypop in one hand
"Your trying to draw you boyfriend?" He lifts one eyebrow.
"Hes not my boyfriend. Hes my best friend. And its for our art project!" I protest.
"Sure" he smirks climbing through my window.
"Stop doing that, use the door im scared your going to fall." I say.
"Your scared ill fall?" He repeats.
"Yes." I roll my eyes.
"Hmm okay" he says taking my lollypop.
"Hey!" I say
"Strawberries and cream?" He asks and i nods
He pops it into his mouth leaving me in shock and not realising my mouth formed into an 'O' shape.
"my favourite" he says.
"Same but i would prefer not to have your saliva all over it" i cry.
"Oh come on, stop moaning. I dare you to put this back into your mouth." He smirks.
"Are you serious.?" I say.
"Yep. You know what. Lets have a competition. We both dare each other to do various things and the person to give up first. Loses." He says
"What do i get if i win?" I raise an eyebrow.
"Ill personally take you to LA. And if i win, i do what i want. Deal?" He says
Oh my...
Ive always wanted to go to LA. Theres universal studios where i can finally get a picture with a minion and theres disney world where i can go and theres the hollywood walk of fame! Oh my...
"Deal" i said. Im not missing the chance of going to LA
"well pop the lolly back into your mouth then" he smirks and i do so.
"Easy." I wink.
I turn back to my work and moan.
"Mikey whyyyy" i say to the drawing and the picture he gave me that sits on my desk.
"Come on. Get dressed we're going." Connor says.
"Where?" I ask.
"Somewhere you will like" he says
"Where just tell me!" I plead
"The Empire state building. I thought you might like it and You need to get out of here and stop stressing." My eyes light up as Connor says that.

"Why do you have a leather jacket on? Its so hot!" I say to Connor as we walk towards the exit.
"It makes me look sexy." He says which i can sort of agree too but i wont say that to him.
"Yeah sure" i say sarcastically and he smirks.
"Its pouring" i say shocked.
Its raining so bad and its the middle of June.
"We have to walk all the way home" i moan.
"No, we run" Connor says his fingers intertwining with mine and we start running through the rain.
But we are running in the opposite direction.
I feel the cold droplets everywhere and i cant see as its making my glasses wet.
"Connor w..wait." I say slowing down and we stop.
I take my glasses of and put them in my bag.
"Are you cold?" He asks
"Y..y..yeah kinda." I reply and he lets go of my hand and takes his jacket off.
"Here wear this." He says and i wear it and he slips his fingers into mine and we run.

"Where is this place?" I ask as Connor unlocks the door of a mysterious house.
"My house." He says casually.
He walks in and i follow him in.
There is a living room with a huge tv and a football table in the corner and a kitchen that joins on.
We stand in the middle and i eye the place.
I turn to Connor and hes staring at me.
We look at each other for what seems like ages.
I look down at my feet awkwardly then his back up to his piercing blue eyes which never seem to leave mine. His hair is all wet and messy but somehow he still looks perfect and his wet white shirt clings to his body.
"Your going to get a cold. Maybe you should change." I say
"Yeah. Ill go change, ill get you a shirt. You can watch something." He points to the tv and i nod he heads upstairs.
I sit on the sofa but i don't switch the tv on.
"Hey. Who are you?" A strange voice says and i turn around.
I see a familiar looking face.
"Im may, have i met you before?" I ask.
"No, you probably know my twin. Mikey." He replies.
"Wait, Mikey had a twin?!" I ask confused.
"Yeah. Im Daniel call me Dan. I live with my dad. Mikey with mum." He says
"Oh cool." I dont know what to say, Mikey never told me about a twin but then Dan looks exactly like Mikey. Just without glasses.
"Here wear this one." Connor says as he enters the room with a grey top and throws it to me. Which i catch.
"Can i go and change my top upstairs?" I ask and he nods " you can take a shower if you like everything in the bathroom."
I walk up to the bathroom and take a quick warm shower which instantly makes me feel so much better. I change into the plain grey one Connor gave me and i put my wet hair into a bun.
I wear the leather jacket on top to keep me warm and head downstairs.
The smell of popcorn overwhelms me and makes me so happy.
I love popcorn.
"Movie night." Connor says and i smile at him " help me take these into the cinema room" i take the bowls of popcorn and we enter a room full of beanbags and a big L shaped sofa. Theres a huge screen on the wall and a projector. I smile as i sit on a blue bean bag and pop a piece of popcorn in my mouth.
"What are we watching?" I ask as Connor enters with what seems like a bag full of chocolate and sweets.
"I was thinking some horror?" He says casually.
"No waay." I cry and he just smirks his evil, annoying smirk.
He sits in the sofa and i move next to him.
"Pleeeasee no" i plead
"Fine" he says and i grin.
Dan puts Divergent on and we watch it while munching on popcorn and chocolate.
"You know we could get diabetes from all this sugar" i sigh " or we could get obese and that can lead to heart problems too!"
Connor sighs "do you have to be so smart?" I shrug and place my head on his shoulder where i fall into a peaceful sleep.
