chapter 5

Sam's POV
When me and May got home she told me that she had some homework that she had to do and she ran up the stairs to her room. I went looking for my mother to ask her about May being my mate and what I should do . I finally found her in the kitchen and she headed me walking in " hello sam is anything wrong" my mother asked me "no I just need advice " I told her "on what " she asked " I found her, my mate" "its May , right" I stared at her with my jaw on the floor , how did she know is it really that obvious , well our teacher noticed. " how do you know " I asked " because this is not the first time you have seen May." I looked at her with a confused expresion . she gestured for us to sit down at the table and I did I pulled out the chair and sat down and she sat next to me. " I knew May's parents about thirteen years ago. We were close friends her family and ours and I knew back then that you were mates." She said with a smile across her face .Then her smile suddenly droped"but her parents were murdered." I looked at her in utter shock waiting for an explanation. " do you know the story about the royal family that were murdered 13 years ago." I nodded at her "yes" " well that story started out as a prophecy that the royal family would be murdered in cold blood because of the greed for power. That prophecy was not known by many people, it was kept in the royal family to warn that family. About a weak before Emily and Andrew were murdered they came to us for help they told us about the prophecy and asked us to do something for them. They asked us to take care of May for them. Very few people knew about may because they wanted to keep May safe from danger. Emily and Andrew said that they were going to put her in an orphanage and they asked us to adopt her after they had died. They told us to not to go straight away after they put her in the orphanage because it could rais suspicion. After we headed the news of their death we went to go to the orphanage that Emily and Andrew told us she would be in and when we got there she wasn't there she had been fostered already. Ever since then we tried to find her ." my mother informed me. " so, May is the daughter of the true royal family that very few people knew about?" She nodded. " don't tell her about this, it is two soon " my mother told me . " okay but what about her being my mate." I asked "no non of it ,she shouldn't know about this world yet I want her to have a human life before her fate catches up with her." " I am still a bit confused by one thing why is she human? Nothing like this has ever happened in our existence " I asked . she looked at me hesitating to tell me something second guessing if she should tell me . she started to speak " she's not human" I looked at her as if she was crazy waiting for an explanation but she wouldn't answer . " I have already told you two much I can't tell you any more, sorry." And in that moment she stood up from the table and left me sitting there in shock with a hundred questions going through my head.
