Harper's POV

I wondered why Felicia seemed so insecure about herself. She is really pretty, and I bet half the guys in school will like her, unlike me. Harry will never like me; he will probably like her. I saw the way he flirted with her yesterday. I remembered my first boyfriend, Samuel Rye. He was nice, until we broke up. I've always wondered, how do breakups happen? Do you just stop loving the person you are with? Ever since we broke up, I don't even talk to him anymore. It's like nothing happened.

I can't help but notice the way Adam looks at Felicia. He blushes whenever she looks at him. I feel like asking him if he likes her, but I'll have to wait until Felicia leaves.

"Felicia, what sports are you doing this year?" Asked Jennifer.

"I might do soccer for the fall season, cheer for the winter season, volleyball, and maybe track." Said Felicia.

"I used to play soccer." Said Jennifer. "But this year I'm doing cheer for the fall and winter seasons, and softball in the spring season."

"Maybe we will be in the same group for cheer!" Said Felicia.

"You would probably be a flyer; I'm a base. Stacy Lovely is the group's back spot, and Shawna Knox is the other base." Said Jennifer

Ugh I hate cheer I thought.

"Maybe we can practice stunting!" Said Felicia

Adam kept looking at her.

Since Jennifer and Felicia kept speaking about cheerleading, I walked over to Tyler and his friends.

"Hey." I said.

"What are you doing here?" Said Tyler.

"I'm just going to sit here because I'm getting bored of Jennifer and Felicia's 'cheer talk'." I responded.

"Jennifer looks so pretty today." Said Tyler as he flushed red.

"Shut up." I said, laughing. "She barely even talks to you."

  "Whatever." He said.

I felt like I needed to bring up Felicia to see what Adam was going to say, so I did.

"Did you guys meet Felicia yet?" I asked. "She's really nice."

"Tyler and I met her yesterday, when she was at your house." Said Jack.

"Oh oops I forgot." I said sarcastically.

"Adam, did you meet her?" I asked

"Yeah. I accidentally knocked into her yesterday when she was heading to your house. She seems really nice..." Adam said.

At least I got some words out of him, but I needed more information.

"What do you think of her? Do you think she's pretty?" I asked.

Shit! I thought. Why did I just say that?!?

"What?" He asked.

"Um pretend I didn't say anything, ok?" I said as I joined my friends in the pool.
