Sébastien and Renée climbed up to the same mountain range the tracker had taken them up all those years ago, just in time, to see the sunset.
"I think that we should start our own school here. Would you like that?" Sébastien asked Renée.
"You want to be a school director now? You have never done that before." Renée teased.
"Well, remember what Philosopher Pinititus said, 'If you want to improve, be content, to be thought, foolish and stupid.'"
Renée starts to have tears remembering that Gareth had said that line in the garden the very day he died.
They fell into silence again. Watching the changing of the sun's rays as it appeared to be sinking behind the curve of the earth. It was breath taking.
"You know," Sébastien broke the silence, "they say that love is not two people looking at each other, but true love is two people looking, in the same, direction."
Renée's heart leaped. The two of them kept looking straight ahead. That is what he said to her all those many years ago, right at that spot.
He turned his face to her, then she turned her face to him. Stared deeply into each other's eyes.
And then it came.
The kiss!
The velvet, golden, decedent, kiss.
It all happened in slow motion. It was out of their control. It was so natural. It just happened. With no thought. With no intent. It just happened.
It was sweet. It was reverential. It was respectful. It was admiration. It was delight in sharing some of God's creation. Awe inspiring creation, together................forever!
