AN: I attacked a song to this from Sucker Punch that I just love and fits this story well.

Okay, enjoy!

He wasn't much older than six when it happened. His curiosity always trumped his logic.

It was mid-summer and he sat around with Family at the Lake, a family reunion. They had eaten lunch already and kids were getting on their swim suits. He didn't want to swim, was never something he held interest in. Instead, he adventured.

There was a small forest beside the cabin they rented for the day, and that seemed like the best place to adventure to him. He hummed as he wound between the thick trees. The forest seemed so alive that day, with the wind making the leaves move, and all the creatures out and about.

He looked all around, playing an imaginary game of Knight. He imagined that he had just defeated the evil magician that threatened to take over his land, and now, wounded but prideful of his win, he was trying to find his way back to his castle.

Looking down to the forest floor, he saw a white bunny, it's color sticking out against the mud and muck.

"Hello, little bunny, will you lead me back to my home?" The little boy asked.

The bunny looked up to the sky, to where the sun would be without the trees. It made a tsk tsk noise and hopped away.

"Wait!" The little boy cried and ran after the White Rabbit.

The rabbit stopped at a small hole, just big enough for a small critter to fit through. The boy huffed and watched as the bunny went down. He smiled, thinking, adventure, and followed the rabbit.
