Few people remained inside the tavern. It was around eleven at night, about thirty minutes from twelve. One was a man who sat at the counter, sipping a drink every so often as he read his novel which he held with a single hand. Another was a man who sat at a booth, one booth away from the doors of the tavern. Another was a waitress who walked towards the man in the booth with a platter in her hand which had a mug of beer and a few chicken tenders on it. She held the tray above her head as she walked towards him. She sat it down in front of him. The last one was a man who tended to the bar, behind the counter. He had a small smile on his face as he washed the dishes. A sinister grin grew upon the second man's face as the waitress bent over to deliver him his order. Then, he laid his hand upon her buttock and pulled out a gun, pulling the woman into his lap and lifting her skirt as he held a gun to her head. "If anybody moves, she's dead!" He called out as he laughed. A grimace grew upon the first man's face. "Don't speak, don't do anything! I'll kill you all!" He called out as he grabbed the rim of the woman's shirt, beginning to lift it. The first man, who wore a hood, reached into his trenchcoat. Then, he was quite suddenly aiming a gun at the second man. The man looked at him as he did this, shocked. "I-I'll kill her! That's blood on your hands!" He stuttered in a rather frightened tone. The gun the man aimed at him was a fifty caliber weapon. A silver tinted desert eagle. His eyes were hidden by his hood. He didn't look in the direction of the second man, although he was aiming a gun directly at his head. He simply kept his head down as he handled the situation. He spoke in a rather deep voice, "I'd prefer if you let the girl go... Otherwise, you might actually get something in your head." The second man shivered. He pulled the gun away from the girls head and pushed the girl rather roughly out of his lap, sending her towards the first man, who quickly turned around, keeping the gun aimed at the man, catching the girl and releasing her, allowing her to roam off, behind the counter where she took cover along with the bartender. "Gun down, then rise." He said, taking another sip of his drink. The man nodded and put his gun down, standing up and slipping out of the booth. "Get out of this tavern." He demanded. The man nodded and began walking towards the exit, which was also the direction of the man who aimed the gun. Then, he slowly reached into his pocket which was out of view from the man with the gun. He pulled out a switchblade and ran at the man. He put his gun on the counter, slipped out of his seat and squatted, pulling one foot off the ground, wrapping an arm around the man's back. He slammed his leg down on the man's head, sending his forehead into the bar counter, causing him to become a little dizzy. He got up off the counter and stabbed at the man. He avoided the stab and grabbed the man's wrist, pulling him close before throwing a punch into the bottom of his chin, throwing his head back. He kneed the man in the stomach and slammed the man's head on the counter before pushing him onto the floor unconscious. The two raised from behind the counter, rather frightened. The man picked up his drink and took one last sip, emptying the glass before setting it down on the counter and picking his gun back up. "W-Were you actually gonna shoot him?" The bartender asked. The man pressed a button on the side of his gun, causing the magazine to fall out. He caught it and turned it towards them. It was empty. Then, he reinserted the magazine and slipped his gun back into his trench coat before laying a few dollars out on the bar beside his empty glass. "Keep the change." He said before turning towards the door and walking towards it. "W-Wait! What's your name?" The tender asked. "You can call me The Panther." He said before exiting the building.
Four sinister-looking men cornered a woman in an alleyway. They all had grins on their faces. The woman backed into the back of the alleyway. "W-What do you want?!" She stuttered as the men began to close in on her. "Don't you worry one bit, princess. It won't hurt at all as long as you don't struggle." One of the men said with a grin across his lips. Smoke began to fill the alleyway from behind the men. Only the woman noticed, though. "But if you scream... Something might happen..." Another man said, pulling out a gun as a figure in a trenchcoat walked out of the smoke towards the men. The woman stayed silent as the men continued to close in on her. The figure was silent, like a cat. Or rather, a panther. Then, he jumped onto a wall beside him silently, bouncing off to the other wall and back to that wall until he ended up on the top of the building which made up the back of the alleyway. When the men were just a few feet from the woman, the figure pounced onto the man with a gun, causing him to fall to the ground. He grabbed his head, picked it up and slammed it onto the ground, knocking the man out before he flipped off the man onto the wall above the woman, bouncing off it and pouncing onto the next man who pulled a gun out, using the pounce the slam the man's head onto the ground, knocking him out before he released the head and flipped to the side, landing beside the next man. He crouched and swept the man off his feet, grabbing his head and slamming it against the ground, putting him to sleep like the other two. The fourth guy already had a micro SMG out. He began shooting at the man who quickly flipped back and got back onto the roof. The man aimed the gun at the woman and ran to her, grabbing her. He was terrified. He made the worst move he could have in that situation. Suddenly, the man in the trenchcoat was beside the man with the SMG. He had the same desert eagle pointed at the man's head as earlier. He pulled the trigger and pretended there was recoil. "Bang." He said. The man raised an eyebrow, still terrified. He grabbed the man by the head and slammed it against the wall, knocking him out. "T-Thank you!" The woman called out as The Panther walked out of the alleyway. "W-What if the cops find this and get to me?" She asked. "You self-defensed these guys." The Panther said before throwing down a smoke pellet, exiting the alleyway in a very ominous fashion.
