                          True Love.
           Written by: Jessica Turland

Before they knew eachother

Destiny does not knock.

It does not announce itself with trumpets or warning signs.
It moves quietly. Patiently. Like a shadow stretching across a wall at dusk.

Luna learned early that silence was safer than hope.

She grew up in the spaces between chaos - where survival meant watching first, speaking last, and never needing too much. The world had sharp edges, and she carried the marks to prove it. Trust was a luxury she could not afford. Love was a weakness she refused to entertain.

So she built herself from steel and silence.
Fierce. Guarded. Unreachable.

Red learned something different.

He learned that life was a fight - not the loud, reckless kind, but the slow, suffocating battle for breath. For control. For peace. He wore strength like armor, but underneath it lived scars no one could see. He had mastered endurance. He had mastered survival.

But he had never mastered healing.

They existed in the same world, under the same restless sky, walking separate paths carved by pain. Two storms moving toward each other, unaware.

Until the night the air shifted.

It wasn't dramatic.
There was no lightning strike.
No choir of fate.

Just a glance.

And in that single, suspended second, something ancient recognized itself.

Not familiarity.
Not comfort.

But understanding.

The kind that does not ask permission.
The kind that feels like inevitability.

Neither of them knew then what it would cost.
Neither of them understood that love - real love - does not arrive gently for people like them.

It arrives like fire.

And fire does not ask what it burns.
