Meet my family.
My Mom cooks and cleans. She is very sweet, but very protective. We can't go near the stove until age 18 and we can't be outside without a coat. She has to know everyone we talk too.My Dad makes the money. He is a writer for the newspaper. He writes the articles on how awesome the general is. If he writes anything else, he will be hung. He is very shy. He is scared of the president. Very scared of the president. He is afraid that if he doe not make the president happy, he will put one of us in the series of tests. I'll tell you about that later.
My brother Adam. Age 17 is he brains. He never got anything else on a report card. He is studying to be a scientist. If he becomes one, our family will make a lot more money.
My sister Charlie, age 16, is very Sporty. She plays football, soccer, basketball, baseball, and field hockey.
Then, there's me. Amelia. Age 13. The nothing. I get C's and D's in school and suck at sports. What am I in this world.
About the series of tests. They are called the state war. A family from every state chooses a child to compete in the state wars. They put you there a series of tests that will test your math, science, football, and soccer skills. They start with 50 and end with only one kid. They winner goes home and loves a peaceful life with there family. But, the 49 losers spend the rest of there lives working for the general. Never to see there family again.
