The next morning I woke up, ate breakfast, and got dressed. Today I wore a brown T-shirt with NH on the front, black pants, and a pair a sneakers. Not the most stylish outfit, but it will do for training.
We only get one day of training for the first round, math! I know Adam would be great at this round but Charlie wouldn't. It was best that I am the NH contestant. I don't believe I will get into the second round.
I head to the training area and the first face I see is Charles. Hi Amelia! He says with joy.
Hey Charles. I say back.
Want to train with me?
Sure! I said. But, I was confused, Charles is supposed to be the enemy, and now he wants to train with me? But, I played along. We took out our Math 101 text books.
We were in the middle of studying when Charles asked, how old are you Amelia?
13 I answered. What about you?
15 he said.
I was surprised. Charles looked like he was 20. He is very mature. But, we went back to studying. An hour later, Charles said, Amelia, can I show you something.
Sure! I said curiously.
Charles took we to the back door, we snuck out and he took me to this pond. This is where my mom and dad met.
In the games? I asked.
Yes! He said.
But there can only be one winner, how did they get married and have you?
They snuck out together, after the last round. My mom won and my dad lost. They were from New Jersey and West Virginia. They went to live in New York and completely changed their look.
Wow! I said, It reminds me of my parents.
Tell me about them, he said.
Well, my mom used to live in Washington DC, and my dad used to live in Virginia. They decided my mom would sneak over the border in between Virginia and DC and then they ran away to New Hampshire, got married and had Adam, Charlie, and me.
Wow! He said.
But, we should get back. Before the find us.
Yup! I said.
So we went back and lucky they didn't notice we were gone. After training me and Charles went to our separate rooms, and went to bed.
