I pull up into my driveway, hopping out and racing into my house excitedly. When I settle in a chair, I open up my laptop and begin to research everything about pterodactyls.

In case you hadn't noticed when I almost tripped walking out of Ocean's doorway earlier, I kind of like her. She's got golden brown hair that's just the right amount of long and has these striking eyes. They seem to hold power themselves, radiating adventure and intelligence. The fact that they're multi colored says a lot...

After a night of studying, I crash out on my bed with a book over my face and my laptop running with footage of pterodactyls.

My alarm sounds and I wave my hands around without opening my eyes. Hitting the snooze button, I drift off to sleep for a few seconds until I realize the sun's shining brightly.

I flash open my eyes and glance at the digital clock. It reads 8:30.

"Oh shit, I have to be with the raptors!" I shout and look at my phone.

Messages from my parents and Anessa flood the screen. Then my radio goes off and hold it up, listening intently.

"Mitchell, where are you? I can't train these things, they hate me!" a voice scratches. I groan and reply, "It's okay Leo, I'll be over there soon." I mumble and get up, rushing around.

After a breakfast of one granola bar, I jump into my jeep and floor it all the way to the raptor paddock.

"Dude, where have you been? I can't work these animals like you do!" Leo shoves me onto the walkway above the paddock with a clicker.

One thing before I continue: Leo Malcolm is my best friend. We grew up together on the island along with Anessa. Leo is the son of Ian Malcolm's son, making him the grandson of a well known Jurassic Park legend. Anessa is the great granddaughter of John Hammond, founder of the original Jurassic Park. Most of the kids working here are somehow related to legends of the original park and are all older than 14.

Anyways, back to the present.

I whistle loudly once and soon enough, my pack of five raptors come marching out of the trees.

"Hold up! Don't move!" I call to them. When they stay put, I snap the clicker and move along.

The beta, a red striped male, snaps at one of her smaller siblings.

"Hey! Red, don't you pull that on me! I'm still watching you too Calypso!" I shout at another female who is tinted silver.

The others, 2 more males and a female wait, growling at each other.

"Terra, move to the left side! Thunder go right!" I order the only other female who is an emerald green and a darker shaded male. The last one is a small male, lowest of the pack but still excepted in.

"Micro, take the back," I say. The raptors obey for once and I move the herd around, getting them to follow me.

After a few squawks, chirps, and tail smacking, I reward them with a rat each.

"Alright! Wait for my signal guys, don't move yet!" I pause for a moment and then release them.

They run off, going about their rough housing and I turn to see Leo clapping.

"You've done it again Mitchell! Those lizards might actually be following directions for once!" he claps me on the back and we go down the steps, off the walkway.

I notice some interns working on something on the metal walkway and then focus back on Leo, not paying attention.

"Yo, dude! Hello, earth to Mitchell?" Leo waves a hand over his face.
