Chapter 1

*door slams* "dads home" I say to myself than I quickly ran upstairs into my room and locked the door. "Alexia!! Get down here!"
"Leave me alone!" I yelled.
"Lex I just want to talk."
"Fine." I answered with a scared tone
"Why can't we be close anymo-?"
"Because you ruined my life." I cut him off
He sighed and said "It's not my fault the court thought you would be better living with me." He said with a smirk.
"Get out and don't talk to me anymore!"
He quietly exited and I dug my face in a pillow and screamed.
*flashback*
"Lexi are you okay you have been acting kinda weird lately?" Grayson asked
"I'm fine." I said with a sigh
"Lexi I've been your best friend since kindergarten I can tell when there is something wrong with you." Grayson said

"Are you Alexia?" A man with a deep/scary voice said. 
"Yeah why?" I asked
"I'm here to take you by your dads hou-."
"Who are you?" I cut him off
"I work for child services. Your coming with me." He says while trying to grab my hand
"Before I go anywhere with you why am I leaving with you?" I say making it clear that I'm scared.
" Your father now has full custody of you." He says.

I just looked at him

I can't believe this is happening to me

Grayson pulled me into a hug all I could think of is what is going to happen to me I'm going to have to move to Iowa...
WHAT ABOUT ME AND GRAYSON!!?
He's the only friend I've made...
I love him...

In the middle of Grayson and my hug the scary man pulled us apart...
"I love you Alexia!!" Grayson yells with tears in his eyes.
"I love you too Grayson!" I yell trying to get out of the mans grip.

*end of flash back*

My dad flung the door and came up to me and and started going on and on about how I'm going to have to forgive him because he is my dad but he's wrong I don't have to forgive him because what he did was I forgivable.

"Come on lex just forgive me."
"No and don't call me lex.."
"Why won't you forgive m-"
"Because I hate you!" I cut him off

Silence

He slapped me...

"Get out! Just get out of my room!" I yelled in pain.
He got up and walked out like nothing happened.

As soon as he left I began to pack...

I quick grabbed my green and blue school bag that was fairly big and I packed my iPhone 6 and my charger, headphones, money my step mom gave me for emergencies, a couple changes of clothes, sweatshirts, tooth brush, toothpaste, extra pair of converse, and lastly a stuffed penguin my birth mom gave me before she pasted away.

Since my room was on the first floor of my house I snook out my window and sprinted to the road so my dad couldn't try and stop me from leaving.

*after about 2 hours of walking*

After a couple hours of walking I stopped at a gas station I came across and I got a water and a granola bar and a peach. As I was leaving people asked if I need a ride anywhere but obviously I said no because I'm not about to leave with strangers I'm already scared enough.

*late at night*

I was walking down a non busy road and I started singing flashlight (by Jessie J) to try and make me happier because I was pretty scared.

Drivers Pov

I was driving down a quiet street in Des Moines, Iowa and there a shadow up ahead but I couldn't make out what it was so I just shook it off. Since it was really late all the boys were sleeping except for Cameron (Dallas) and Matt (Espinosa). They approached me and asked when we were going to stop. Before I could answer I slammed on the breaks because the shadowy figure I saw was a young girl.

Lexis Pov

*squeaking of breaks slamming*

I screamed and crouched down I know it sounds stupid but I didn't know what to do at that time. 2 boys come out and I knew exactly who they where....
