I was walking through the hallway to my 5th hour class when I found out something was terribly wrong. I had my books and everything in my arms and then Mia Farnest came up behind me and grabbed my hair. The next thing I knew I was on the ground and Mia had a huge chunk of my hair in her hand.

"Ewww!" she screamed dropping the hair and running to her class.

"Oh no...." I whispered.

"Mrs. Garlin! what happened?" My teacher Mrs. Parks asked, walking into the hallway.

"I...uh...dont know...a huge chunk of my hair...just fell out..." I replied, standing up.

"Come with me. I'm taking you to the Nurses office." She said worriedly.

We walked to the nurses office and I sat down, realizing that my head hurt a lot now. Mrs. Parks told the nurse what happened and she looked at my head. She asked for my hair brush and I took my Foldable one out of my pocket and handed it to her. She ran the hair brush through my hair ever so slightly and showed me her hand. It had a bunch of my hair in it.

"Mya, does your head hurt at all?" she asked me.

"Yes, a lot accually." I replied, starting to feel dizzy.

"We need to-" the nurse started to say but I don't know what happened after that because all I remember was my head spinning and my vision getting dark.

I woke up in a hospital bed and my mom sitting next to me in a chair. She looked at me with sad eyes as the doctor came in the room. I was hooked up to a bunch of machines and it scared me a little bit.

"Whats wrong? What happened?" I asked groggily.

"You have a brain tumor miss." the doctor said.

"You mean....I have cancer?!" I asked worriedly.

"Yes, thats the reason your hair has been falling out." He replied stedily.

"This can't be." I whispered.

"Well its true. I'm sorry." My mother said.

"When can I go home?" I asked the doctor. "Wait a minute!! My hair would fall out from Chemo Therepy! Not from cancer! How long have I had this?"

"We've known since last year. We decided not to tell you but we put the medication in your food. Thats why your hair falls out still." my mom said quietly. "We can go home now, but your conditions gotten worse, so we may have to come back."

"You hid this from me!!!" I screamed.

"Honey, im sorry." she replied.

I was quiet the whole time i drove home. I had tears welled up in my eyes and I was not in a good mood. I pulled i my driveway to see a car that i didn't know pulled in. With curiousity I walked up to the door and opened it and there standing in front of me was the cutest boy at our school, Samuel.
