Chapter 20~Time is running out (Part 2)

~Julian's POV~

I waited... For something... Anything... My parents and family just sat there, watching, almost waiting for me to say it was all a big joke.

"mo-m-?"

"Don't say a word Julian." My mother snapped.

I almost broke down when she that, but Dominik wrapped an arm around me. "And why not Mrs. Tobias?"

"No son of mine can get pregnant! He is not my son! Neither is that thing!" She pointed at Nick. Nick winced at her words, but made no move to talk back.

My dad, Rylan grabbed my mother's arm and made her look at him. "Why are you talking to your children like this?! You always told me how much you wanted Julian back! And now that you do, you refuse to accept him! It's not his fault he was kidnaped! It's ours! And that makes it our fault that he's half vampire now!"

"Don't talk like that Rylan! How dare you accept those two children as our own?! When they are clearly monster's! Anyone can see that!" She thrust her arm toward me. I whimpered and pushed myself out of Dominik's grip and ran up the stairs to my room before anyone could see my tears.

~Dominik's POV~

I had to physically step back from the woman who birthed Julian. How dare she make Julian run away? How dare she call him a monster?

River was up in the blink of an eye, staring down Julian's mom. "I suggest you leave before we call the cops and have you physically taken away..." His dark threat hung in the air.

Mrs. Tobias stood. "Alright. Fine. Justin. Angel. Rylan. Let's leave." She started walking, but no one made a move to follow her. When she noticed this, she spun around and sent everyone a death glare. "Let's. Go."

Rylan held his head up high as he stared at his wife with a hateful glare. "I may not be the best dad in the world, and I may never be there for my kids, but I will not let Julian be alone in this, He needs family. Now more than ever. So you take the car back home, pack your bags, and I want you out of the house within the week."

Everyone didn't dare breathe as Mrs. Tobias screamed in frustration. She stomped to the door, flung it open, and left, slamming it as she left.

Everyone was quiet for a bit. Than I felt a tug on my sleeve and saw Tate.

"I wanna go see Julian. He sad..."

I nodded and picked up Tate. I turned to River. "It would be nice if you tend to our guests while me and Tate go calm Julian down." After I got a nod from River, I walked up the stairs and to Julian's room. Even from outside the door I could hear his heavy sobs. My heart broke for him.

"Julian?" Tate knocked, eager to go see him and make him feel better.

Something hit the door. "Go away!"

"Julian..." I opened the door and walk inside. I see that he threw batty at the door. I set Tate down and he ran over to Julian and laid down next to him.

"Julian should feel better! His bad momma is gone but nice dad stayed."

Julian didn't seem to pay attention. He put his hands over his ears and if possible, shaking even more than before. I quickly grabbed Tate and pulled him away from Julian.

"Julian...?" I asked again, worry seeping into my voice.

Julian fell still, and for a moment I thought he was dead, but he sat up. He looked at me with a blank expression. "Julian couldn't function on his own. I had to help him..."

"Quincy?" I really hope it's not-

"It's Lucifer..." And it is who I didn't want it to be.

"Why didn't Quincy help?"
