I put a little extra butter on my popcorn and grabbed my ticket with my pinky because my other hand held my drink. Diet coke, my favorite!
I stood in the line waiting for the ticket guy to rip off the end and send me to a theatre room that was discreetly behind him.
"Ticket ma'am." The nerdy looking guy with zits and headgear asked. I passed him my ticket and he ripped the end. "Theatre 1 on your right."
I grabbed the ticket stub and hurried into the large dark theatre, finding a seat directly in the center. I sat down and peeled off my sweater, getting comfortable in the seat.
I was seeing one of my all time favorite movies: Thor. It might have been the special effects, the dialogue, or maybe a shirtless Chris Hemsworth made me fall in love with the movie...
*wink wink, nudge nudge*
I sat back and watched the adds on the screen.
"Is this seat taken?" A deep accented voice asked me. I looked him, trying to figure out the accent. Australian! That's it!
"No, go ahead and take it." I gestured for him to sit down. He did so gladly, obviously glad to get off his feet.
I looked back at the screen. It was going through those question-add things.
What brothers separately starred in the movies Thor and The Hunger Games?
~Alec and Stephen Baldwin
~Liam and Chris Hemswoth
~Samuel and Max Irons
"Man, that's too easy! It's so obviously Hemsworth." I whispered, tapping on the guy beside me out of habit.
"I know." He laughed "They keep making them so simple!" The Australian accent replied.
Oh god, I thought, did I really just make fun of the screen and talk about it to the hot Australian?!...And did he just answer back?!
But I kept it together and started laughing along. I decided I might as well keep talking, seeing as we had already started a conversation.
"So, you like this movie?" I asked.
"Yeah, I really like the actor. I've met his brother actually." He replied nonchalantly.
"You mean Liam Hemsworth?!" I asked excitedly, but not too excitedly, I didn't want to make him uncomfortable.
"That's the one." He smiled. "But I've never gotten the chance to meet the Chris." he shrugged.
"Well, I've never met either of them! So consider yourself lucky!" I laughed
"Oh, no? I think the three of you would get along fine if you met them." He said almost jokingly, but in a kind, cute way.
"You think so?" I smiled as the lights dimmed and the movie started.
My favorite time of watching this movie yet.
-----------------------------------
After the movie, I walked out with the Aussie.
"Hey, I don't think I ever caught your name." I realized.
"You tell me yours first!" he joked
"Martha. Martha Black." I held out my hand for a hand shake.
"Chris. Chris Hemsworth." He smiled, shaking my hand.
"Oh my god. You'ra kidding right?" I joked.
"Nope. My name is CHris Hemsworth, and I am the actor you saw in that movie." he smiled warmly.
"Oh my freakin god. The Chris Hemsworth?" I say slowly, still trying to soak it in.
He nodded "Yes, 'the' Chris Hemsworth." he urged.
It just wouldn't sink in fast enough.
"Wanna get some coffee?" I asked slowly.
"Sure, I'd love to." he smiled
"Okay, let's go then... Chris." I said almost shakily.
We walked in silence into the coffee shop.
"So... how's your brother?" I asked, after I finally sank in, when we sat down with our drinks.
"Oh he's good! Working on a new movie. But I can't talk about it. Nobody is supposed to know about it yet." He sighed, like he wished he could talk about it with me.
"It's okay. I understand. Are you working on anything right now?" I asked
"Not really, I'm more just enjoying myself right now." He shrugged.
"Oh. Okay..." I looked at my drink, an awkward silence now hanging around us.
"So, tell me about yourself." He suggested, breaking the uneasiness.
"I, erm, like your movies?" I spoke hesitantly, not being able to think of anything else. He chuckled.
"Not quite what I meant!" he laughed.
I felt my cheeks blush.
"Oh, It's okay! I didn't mean it like that!" He laughed, putting his hand on my shoulder.
I tried to stay calm despite the thought running rampant through my head: Chris Freakin Hemsworth is touching my shoulder!!!!!!! I sounded like such a teen aged girl. I smiled, be it because of Chris' words, or just him himself, I will never know.
He smiled back and we just kept talking about our lives, past, present, and future.
The best part was he didn't seem all that different from a normal guy, even if he was Thor...
