Violet's pov:I woke up from the screaming of my 2 younger brothers who are always fighting. "Why do you guys have to be fighting this early in the morning!!" I yelled back.
"We're not fighting, we are trying to get you up because mom said! You do remember that it's Aunt Nan's 98th birthday today right?" My brothers yelled back.
"WHAT!" I practically flew from my bed.
"Why didn't you get me up before!" "Because we -" " Just get out so I can change please" I cut my brothers off.
After I got changed into a white flowy lace dress and brown flip flops I put my hair in a loose braid and ran downstairs as fast as I could and ran out the front door strait to the car. "Violet!" My mom yelled.
"Why were you not ready before? You knew we had to leave early to see your Aunt Nan."
"I know mum and I'm sorry, but Jack and Cane didn't get me up early." "Ok just forget about it, at least we are here now and on our way.
"Why do we even have to go!" Cane groaned from the back seat. "Because she is your Great Aunt Nan and she is 98 years old, we don't know how much longer she could have. This day is important to us." Dad said.
After about 35 minuets of a very annoying car ride with my brothers we finally stopped at this HUGE beach house that I still can't believe great Aunt Nan owns. We all got out of the car and said our usual hellos and happy birthdays.
It was exactly 1:00 PM and the party doesn't start for another 2 hours, so I decided to have a walk on the beach to pass some time.
It wasn't that very crowded since this is a private beach but people still walked around it. I kind of liked it here. Having your very own beach must be so relaxing without having to worry about people bothering you everyday.
After a good 20 minuets of walking through the sand and little waves crashing on my feet I had collected some sand dollars and seashells.
As I started to turn back around something caught my eye. something gold, or silver. But really shinny.
I walked over a picked it up. It looked like a gold paper plane necklace with a chain.
It was really beautiful, I have never seen anything like it ever before.
I gathered all my sand dollars and seashells and the paper plane necklace and ran back to the beach house.
I ran upstairs and decorated a mason jar and filled it with the sand dollars and seashells to give it to great Aunt Nan.
I hid the paper plane necklace in my little bag to keep because to me it seemed very important.
Something gold with such detail in the plane cannot be something you just leave on the beach.
There are also words written on the plane that I can't seem to make out from all the sand leaving some scratches on it.
It almost looks like a name...
