Harry's pov:
I received back the letter Violet sent me and I couldn't believe that she found my paper plane necklace! It's almost like the necklace chose her.
I couldn't sleep last night, I couldn't stop thinking about Violet. I could only imagine how beautiful she looks. The way she always makes me smile, the way she was so open to me. I have to see her! "Boys!" I yelled from the shack.
"What?" Alan and Robert said in sync. "I need to see Violet." I started running towards the water.
"Harry, you can't just-" "NO! I must see Violet" I cut Robert off.
"Dude like how are you going to see her if we can't even get over the water?" Alan said "Well we can figure something out... we just need to make the boat bigger or something, maybe add a sail to it." I started rambling on and on.
"Okay" Robert patted my shoulder. "We will help you Harry. I've never seen you act this crazy over a girl..." "She's not just a 'girl' Alan, to me she is more than that."
"Okay what ever you say man." Alan chuckled.
"Well I'm going to start getting the boat fixed up." Robert said. "Thank you." I said. I can't believe they are going to actually help me. I can't believe I might actually see violet!
I put the necklace around my neck for good luck and helped patch up the boat. The necklace felt different, in my heart I felt like Violet was with me, it felt like Violet stole my heart.
Violet's pov:
I woke up surprisingly quite early for me, so I decided to take my time in getting ready this morning. After I was done with my routine I put on a pair of shorts and a tank top. I ran threw my bag to find the necklace but then I remembered that I gave it back to Harry.
I felt almost empty without it somehow. When ever I wore it I felt safe, as if Harry was protecting me. But it wasn't my right to keep it from him. It looks too important to not give back. Something with sentimental value.
I ran downstairs to find a beautiful breakfast prepared on the kitchen table. "Aww Aunt Nan, you didn't have to make all of this..." "Oh but I wanted to sweetie." My mouth was open to say something when all we could hear was the tumbling of feet going down the stairs. Jack and Cane came down the stairs stomping every step of the way.
"Aunt Nan! it smells good in here!" Jack said. "Yeah and everything on the table is glass so don't break anything." My sassy inner self came out. Jack gave me an annoying look.
Then mom and dad down the stairs. "mmm... something smells delicious." Dad said.
"Yeah, what you cooking up Aunt Nan? You know you should of told me and I would have helped you." Mom said.
"No, no you guys are my guests." "And you are 98 years old" Dad gave her a kiss. "Okay can we eat now...." Cane whined.
"Yes we can!"
After we were all done eating I helped out with putting the dishes away. After everything was all done I was just about to go outside to see if Harry wrote me any letters back when my mom stopped me.
"Hey Violet, may I speak with you." I walked back over and sat on the couch by her. "Yeah mom" "violet, are feeling ok? You have been kind of acting differently this whole time we've been here. Is it because you miss it back at home?."
My palms started to get sweaty by her question. "N-no I'm fine mom really. I just am a little worried about Aunt Nan. Well, you know why..."
I lied about the fact that I just wanted to get away, I couldn't let anyone know that I've been talking to Harry.
