It was prom night. Marley and Jake were so excited to be going together again this year. They wanted this prom to be as special as it was last year, since this was the last big thing before graduation. Last year was when Jake and Marley had taken the next step in their relationship. They had been together a year and half at that point. The longest relationship they both have been in. They loved each other, and they knew that during that night, it was the right moment. Since then Jake and Marley have been stronger than ever. Finally the day came. Marley and Unique had spent the whole day getting pampered while Jake spent the day getting ready for something else.
"Are you sure your okay with this mom, I mean I'm 18." He said sitting on the couch with her mom.
"Well it wouldn't be my first choice for two 18 year olds, but I know Malrey is special to you and just because me and Millie agreed on this doesn't mean we want you guys to run off and elope."
"Don't worry we won't. We will wait till after graduation of course and who knows we may wait for a few more years till we actually decide to get married."
"Sweetie, why are you doing this, do you really think that if your propose to Marley it will be like a security blanket for you two or something?" His mom asked confused.
"No, look I love Marley, mom, and I'm never letting her go. She is the best thing to happen to me and I don't wanna lose it. So thats why I'm doing this. I want to make a promise to her and I think this is the perfect time with graduation around the corner and us going into the real world and everything." Jake said smiling.
"Then okay, I support you guys 100%, but again no eloping." She said with a serious look on her face.
"Thanks mom and don't worry, I promise no eloping." He said hugging his mom.
"Okay..now go get dressed"

Once it reached 7 o'olock, Jake had finished getting ready and took one last look in the mirror. Jake was nervous but yet excited about tonight. He really didn't want Marley to say no but couldn't think about that right now. Before he left his room, he went to his nightstand and grabbed the little velvet box and he opens it up and stares at the ring. After a few mintues of looking at the ring, he smiles and put the little box in his jacket and heads out of his room. He gives a kiss on the cheek to his mom before he leaves. Jake wanted to start off by renting a limo for the two of them and let's just say he has been saving money for a long time to afford both the limo and the ring, but he knew Marley was worth it.

Marley was ready for this night to be perfect. She felt beautiful and she was going to spend the night with her boyfriend, she couldn't have been happier. Once Unique had left, Marley had spent the past 2 hours finishing getting ready. When she was finshed she sat waiting for Jake with her mom.
"Are you excited for tonight hunny?" Millie asked
"Of course, and it's going to be even more amazing since I'm going with Jake." Marley said with a smile.
"You guys seem so happy"
"We are, and honestly being with Jake feels so right"
"Aww, thats great."
Marley and her mom were still sitting on the couch talking when they heard a knock on the door. Marley jumped and sprint to the door. She opened it and there was Jake looking more handsome than ever. She couldn't help but smile.
Jake couldn't believe his eyes once Marley opened the door. He looked her up and down before looking into her eyes. He kissed her hand before he walked into her house.
"You look incredible Marls." Jake said still frozen.
"Thanks, so do you."
Jake just smiled, him and Marley talked with Millie for a few mintues and then headed out. Once they got outside, Marley's eyes went wide, she couldn't beileve there was a limo waiting for them.
"Jake, what is this? You didn't have to do this." Marley said shocked.
"I wanted to, I just thought it's out senior prom so it should be ever more speical." He said kissing her hand.
They got in the car and headed for the dance. The prom looked so cool. There was a moonlight back drop and it looked so calming and sweet. There was low lighting and stars hanging everywhere. They spent the night dancing and hanging with their friends. Finally it was the last dance of the night and what better way to end it than with a slow dance. This was perfect because Jake wanted to talk to Marley about something.
"This night has been perfect." Marley said smiling.
"Yeah it has, look after this I want to take you somewhere special okay?"
"Sure, but if I may ask, what are we going to be doing" She asked curious.
"It's a surprise" Jake said without trying to laugh.
After the dance ended they walked out to the football field. The lights were on and Jake walked Marley to the center of the field. Marley shivered and so Jake brushed his jacket over her shoulders before he took her hands. He finally knew it was time.
"Marley, I love you more than life itself and I wanted to bring you here because this place is speical to us, we've had some amazing times here. I want this place to be hopefully be another memory to remeber and cherish." Jake got down on one knee and took out the little box from his jacket.
Marley thought what Jake was saying was sweet but she knew something was up, she smiled but couldn't help giving a confusing look to go alone with it. But once Jake got down on one knee, she knew exactly what was going on and her eyes kept going between Jake and the box. Then Jake continued.
"I know this is kind of crazy considering we're 18 and getting ready to graduate but this..you and me feels right and it's something I don't want to lose ever. So Marley Rose..will you marry me!?" Jake was looking at her reaction and didn't know what to think.
Marley stood there frozen, she thought it was crazy too but at the same time, you also knew that what they had was special and it could never be replaced. After standing there for awhile staring at him, she smiled and said what was in her heart.
"Yes"
Jakes face lit up when he heard that word, he slid the ring on her finger and stood up and picked her up and spun her around. He was happier then he could ever imagine. Marley was just as happy that she didn't care about anything else. After he put her down, he leaned in to give her a deep kiss. Once they pulled apart they just stood there staring into each others eyes.
"Marls, I don't care when we get married, just as long as we do, I just though this would be the perfect night to do this."
"I don't want to think about the wedding or anything else right now, I just want to celebrate with you, and you made this night even more perfect." She said leaning in to kiss him.
Finally it was time to go home and break the news to their mom's. They couldn't wait to tell their friends about the news either and they couldn't wait to start planning their new life together.
