While I have a new pure bean in the making, I'm taking a quick break to post a little something that's so wholesome that it's gonna make all of us cry real soon-
This features our wise Light Hashira, Akari Tenkubashi, and Amani's first best friend, Emi Sakurada!
Is this like a newfound mother-and-daughter duo? If you think so, then yes it is!
In this project, it shows Akari using her mother instincts to comfort Emi! Due to her heightened empathy, it's also more fitting for what I was aiming for since I wanted Akari to look more understanding and not too emotional-

Onward to the art rambles!
For Emi, she wasn't that difficult to sketch out—considering how long it has been since I've last drawn her! Her hair and face shape took a few attempts, but I'm just in love with the results!
For Akari, shaping her head did took a few attempts, and I didn't want to make her hair look that long—but other than that, I'm quite proud with how she turned out!
Here's a little Taisho Era secret! I hear that children and many lower ranked demon slayers call Akari "mama" since she has the spirit of any mother—though she grows quite emotional since this heavily reminds her so much of her own children.
