(Y/n) was working in their office before a knock on the door interrupted them.
They sighed, "Come in." They responded while typing on their computer as the door opened,
"Are you busy later, Mx. (L/n)?"
The voice of their boss made them look away from their computer and look up to their boss,
"Uhh, I think I'll be busy later since I'll be checking the test subjects and—"
"Don't worry I'll let Sally do it."
(Y/n) look at their boss with a surprise look on their face,
"Wait wha— why?"
They look at their boss with a raise eyebrow while their boss just shrug and closed the door behind him and approached their desk,
"I mean, She's not really that busy after... I don't know what happened with you and her when she met me in the lab looking like she just got beaten the hell out of herself,"
He explained as he puts his hands behind his back while looking down at his assistant. (Y/n) cleared their throat, remembering about earlier.
"Maybe... She got into a fight with some of the co workers?"
They look up at their boss with an awkward smile on their face, while their boss on the other hand just looked down at them with the same look.
"Hmm... Maybe. Anyway, back to the topic. I was wondering if you are available to get a— ummm..."
He pauses for a moment, unsure of how to say it directly to his assistant,
(Y/n) look at him, waiting to finish his sentence.
"To get what exactly, Mr. Darling?"
They asked while they waited to finish their boss sentence,
"Um, to get a cup of coffee with me at the new cafe down the streets?"
His assistant look sudden by the proposal of his,
"A cup of coffee?"
His assistant repeated trying to confirm if his boss was serious about it.
"Yes, Mx. (L/n). A cup of coffee would be nice right? "
Their boss responded, while (Y/n) just look at him,
"Why? Is the coffee maker broken or something?"
"No, I just wanted to try the coffee of the new cafe down the streets."
Their boss calmly replied as they still think about it.
"Um sure, what's the occasion?"
"Nothing, just a boss and his assistant going to get coffee."
(Y/n) raised an eyebrow before sighing and nodded in response.
"Okay, if you're having trouble to pick what kind of coffee would you like. Then sure, I'll come. "
Their boss snapped a look at them at their teased,
"First of all, I can pick flavor of I want. Second, I just want someone to come with me to get coffee that's all."
Their boss crossed his arms and look away while they're trying to hold a laugh that was about to come out,
"Are you sureeeeee, Mr. Darlingggg?"
They laughed as their boss immediately look at them with an annoyed look at their playful tone.
"OF COURSE I AM! SO YOU'RE COMING OR NOT?! "
"Jeez chill, I was joking, and yes I'll come with ya. "
