"Ma! We're home!" Marlo's voice rang through the house, followed by light, hurried footsteps running towards the kitchen.

Momo turned from the sink, nearly tripping over Cheese in the process.

"Sorry buddy," she apologized to the whump, reaching down to give him a brief pet before standing again to greet her son.

Cheese leaned into her touch despite her wet hand, already seeming to forgive her.

Marlo raced into the room, a bag of herbs in one hand, and a bag of cavernberry candy in his other. His green eyes shone with excitement.

"Hmm, looks like you guys made a pitstop," Momo said, her gaze shifting from the bag of candy back to her son's beaming face.

"This?" Marlo gestured the bagged candy outwards. "Teeny gave them to me."

"Did you say thank you?"

"He did," Ekko said, walking into the room behind his son.

Momo took the bag of herbs from Marlo and smiled at her husband. "Did you have to remind him?"

"No!" Marlo cut in, about to shove a piece of candy into his mouth.

Ekko nearly snorted. "He's telling the truth."

Momo ruffled their son's hair, which was cut in style that resembled Ekko's when he was a kid. "That's our boy."

Once Marlo and Cheese ran out of the room and up the stairs, Momo turned and emptied the herbs onto the counter. A gasp fled her mouth at what she saw.

"Is this—"

"Corpse fungus," Ekko confirmed, moving to stand behind his wife. He laced his arms around her and pulled her back flush against his front. He pressed a lasting kiss against the crease of her neck and shoulder. "A gift from LeLock."

Momo settled into Ekko's embrace, leaning back into him. "I wonder how she got her hands on it."

Ekko shrugged. "Beats me. But now you can make that medicine you talked about."

Momo turned around to properly look at him. He'd aged slightly and now styled his hair similar to his parallel reality's self.

She leaned forward to peck his lips. "It'll change everything."

He nuzzled his cheek against hers, then kissed the side of her ear.

"If anyone can do it, it's you."

She was right—it did change everything.

While the supply was limited, it could be used to save lives. And in many instances, it had.

Momo called it Mercy's Spore.

Ekko arranged for her to meet with Heimerdinger, who became immediately intrigued with the concoction. Within months, it was being utilized in Piltover's hospitals and clinics within the Undercity.

Due to its difficulty to make, the price was set high for those buying from topside, while Momo secretly supplied undercity healers for a much lower cost.

With the money Momo earned, she and Ekko were able to start saving for Marlo's future, for whichever route he decided to take.

Ekko's extensive knowledge about technology had been passed down to his son, which became obvious when Marlo asked for a toolbox for his fifth birthday.
