The guys get back with our drinks and Jason sets my Appletini down in front of me. I wasn't planning on drinking today, but I guess I'll drink just this one.
"I never gave a drink order sir," I say to him, but I'm happy that he got it right.
He kisses me on the temple as he takes his seat next to me. "You didn't have to, ma'am," and he downs his shot. He holds up another shot and we all toast.
"Ladies and gents, starts your livers. It's about to be a crazy night," Nate says.
"To a crazy night," we agree clinking our various glasses.
"Ok, let's go put in a request for a song," Lyndsey suggests after we've had a few drinks. Her friends are the first to hop up to join her, but Chloe and Autumn get up to go dance pulling Luke and John with them.
"I think I'll stay here," I say not wanting to get up at all. Autumn and Chloe look at me confused. "I'm fine really." My real reason for staying is that I don't want to be a bad date to Jason. I love to dance, but he doesn't so I don't want to leave him sitting hear alone.
"I'll stay with Mackenzie," Mila says as the other guys disperse to hunt the single prey. They couldn't really say much to Mila because she was with the group. Their dates wouldn't like that.
This leaves me sitting at the table with Jason, Nate, and Mila. We were laughing one of those gut wrenching laughs at something Jason had said when Lyndsey returns from putting in her song request.
"My song will be on soon," she says.
"So you're telling me you put doll clothes all the way down your ear," Nate asks me almost completely ignoring his girlfriend. He was turning red with laughter.
"I didn't do it," I repeat.
"So who did it then Mackenzie?" Jason asks.
"Yea, I doubt you could stay sleep through something like that," Nate adds.
"I don't know who did it, but as soon as I get to heaven I'm asking someone to rewind the darn tapes so I can get to the bottom of this mystery."
Nate brushes my arm, "You don't need to wait that long," he laughs some more. "You did it Mackenzie."
"No, I didn't do it," I defend, which makes us all laugh harder. "I promise."
We laugh a little longer, but Lyndsey's attention is split between three different places. 5% on Nate, 15% on Jason, and the other 80% is on Prey1.
"Are you going to ask me to dance?" Lyndsey snaps at Nate and downs another shot.
He takes a deep breath. "Do you want to Lyndsey?"
She sits back and crosses her arms like a child. "Not if I have to ask you to ask me. There are plenty of guys here who would love to dance with me."
"Well then why don't you go find one," he snaps back.
Everyone eyes widen in shock, except for Jason of course.
Lyndsey storms across the club and walks right up to Prey1. I don't hear exactly what she says, but it doesn't take long for him to grin, nod and then lead her to the dance floor. Nate takes another shot and groans a little.
She's grinding on the stranger, but her eyes are fixed on our table not looking at Nate, but at Jason. Whatever You Like by Nicole Scherzinger comes on, and Lyndsey starts grinding hard against Prey1.
