Chapter 3

- time skip - after the flight-

My brother opens the door to our apartment we'll be staying in for awhile and its nice. I slowly walk in and looking around the kitchen and living room are connected and there is a hall way straight ahead and 3 rooms off of it 2 bed rooms of the same size and shape and a medium sized bathroom which says guess on it. I look into one of the bed rooms and my brother is in the other one. So I my stuff on the bed I guess this is mine. I see it has a closet that is a good size with mirror doors on it and its own bathroom and the bathroom is bigger than the one in the hall way and nicer.
I start unpacking and my brother walks in
"Mer, I won't be here alot maybe once or twice a week so you'll be here alone. There is a lot to do around here. Like a Starbucks, a friendly diner down stairs and a bunch of more things like stores. I think there's a Hot Topic." He rambles on " Dakotah, Dakotah its okay I understand and thank you for picking some wear I would like thanks" I say giving him a hug " when do you start your new job?" I ask pulling away he looks at me and answers " tomorrow morning " he pauses and scratches the back of his head " I won't be back tell Friday " he says. "Oh really, okay." I say. He starts walking out but stops " oh and America there are clubs but you need to be careful please there are so bad people out there" he tells me with worry in his eyes "of course" I answer
