"i've never seen you around before." ashley pointed out.

"i try to keep it that way." nola said quietly as she pushed her hair back with her hand.

"but don't you have any friends?" ashley asked in a soft tone, not wanting to sound rude.

"a few." she shrugged. they stopped by nola's locker so she could pick up her books for her last classes.

"so where do you go next?" ashley tried to change the subject.

"free period." nola gave her a small closed lip smile. ashley noticed how soft she spoke. like she was trying not to wake a sleeping man around her.

"me too." ashley paused. "have you ever seen the roof?"

nola looked confused. "we aren't aloud on the-"

"they only say that o scare you away. thy don't really care." ashley tugged on the strap of nola's black backpack. "c'mon."

the made their way to the back stairwell and quickly climbed it. nola following behind the teal haired girl.

they reached last door and ashley pushed it open. they were met with a small gazebo type thing with a group of people sitting inside it. she lead nola to the small room. nola wasn't too keen with meeting people. if she was honest the first reason being; she thought she was awkward and second; people scared her.

ashley pushed open the white and glass door. "guys this is nola."
