Halfway on our trip to Dallas the bus driver stopped in a town for us to walk around and eat something that wasn't chips or leftovers. Since Luke promised a date, he took me to Taco Bell (everyone was getting Wendy's).
"Not really a date type of place but-"
"Dude, literally anything can be a date. And quite frankly I love Taco Bell." Luke eased up a bit giving me a smile that made me die inside. He grabbed my hand and we walked over to the worker. Luke paid for his and I's lunch before I even realized what was going on. "Luke! You didn't have to pay!"
"But I like to pay." He booped my nose with his finger as I stood there confused. Why did he boop my nose?
There obviously were people who noticed who we were - mainly Luke - but they all didn't disrupt are lunch. Well, date but they don't know that.
"Really, Luke, it means a lot that you got us signed."
"It was Ashton who pieced it together but apparently I gave him the idea?" He chuckled before our food was placed in front of us.
Luke started giggling at me as I was having trouble unwrapping my food. "This is seriously not fair. Why can't I get this unwrapped?"
He kept giggling and put his hands over mine, moving my hands so they were getting the wrapping off. "See? Wasn't that hard."
"For you." I tried to hide the blush in my cheeks as I ate, listening as Luke told a story about when Michael shot a gun and it went back and hit him, leaving the little cut in between his eyebrows that looked like the Harry Potter scar.
There was 10 minutes left before we had to get back on the bus, so Luke led me to the Walmart across the street. He wrapped his arm around shoulders as I wrapped mine around his torso, leaning my head in between his shoulder and neck. He rested his head on mine, walking over to the food. I grabbed a couple magazines to read whenever there was time to read them and watched as Luke grabbed a new xbox game. Being the asshole he is, he paid for everything as we resumed to the same position of arms wrapped around ourselves like when we walked in. Girls tried to hide their cameras as we walked by but Luke didn't seem affected. I was obviously nervous but brushed it off.
Us two were the last to return to the bus (besides the bus driver since he was getting gas). Calum and Ashton decided to catch up on family time by going in their bunks and facetiming them or they probably just said that so no one would bother with their sleep. Michael was in the back room setting up the xbox, Steph was drinking the frosty that she got. She gave us this look when we walked in, but went onto her phone. Luke put away the bags of food and tossed Michael the game which made Michael yell because he was way too excited.
Steph jumped up at me, holding her phone in my face. Sure enough, there were photos of Luke and I at Taco Bell and Walmart. "How was y'alls date?"
I smiled. "Great! Really, really great."
"Honestly I'm not gunna ask for details since these photos pretty much sum it up."
I rolled my eyes, sitting down as the bus was starting to take off to Dallas. Steph followed me as I walked to the back room where Luke and Mike were starting their game. I decided to grab a controller when they gave me weird looks. Besides Steph. "You wanna play?" Michael asked.
"Duh."
"I heard it's a hard game..."
"I have three brothers. Trust me."
I sat between the two, feeling really tiny next to them. Steph sat down and started reading her book, laying her legs on mine and Michael's lap.
Luke gave me a smile, booping my nose once more before the game started. God I can't stop smiling around this kid.
