Once soundcheck was over (and multiple questions about Michael's selfie with Steph) Hey Violet went out for a movie and lunch so it was just us six. All of us were singing along to random songs that we knew and just having a blast in general. Luke and I sat on the floor of their dressing room, his arm resting behind my head. I was leaning into him, humming the lyrics to songs as Ashton sang them.
Michael started playing the familiar tune of Ed Sheeran, which it seemed like only me, Steph, and Mike knew. Stephanie was playing different chords and it sounded so much like Afire Love on Ed's album. Sure enough Michael started singing and Steph did too. It kinda shocked me; she just kinda sang along without thinking about it. Surely I tried to secretly take a video, posting it on Twitter and another bit on to Snapchat.
By now we were all gathered around listening as Steph sang in a slightly higher voice, making the song sound perfect. They seemed to be really happy with how this turned out.
"Fuck this being Steph and I's cover. It's now Michael and Stephanie's cover."
Steph blushed madly as she hid behind her hands. Michael smiled, carefully tuning the strings. "C has a point, it's like you two's song...." Luke trailed off.
"STTTTOOOOPPPP," Steph groaned.
All of us chuckled and went back to normal. My heart fluttered a bit at the fact that Luke is the only person who calls me "C."
"Hey, Luke?"
"Mmmm." His eyes were closed as he listened to Calum who was practicing Amnesia.
"Since Afire Love was originally our cover, what song should we do for YouTube?"
"Why don't you do Amnesia? We can teach Steph the chords since Michael is the one who really plays in the song."
"Then can you get her to practice it now? We were going to post the cover tomorrow while you four were out during soundcheck..."
He got up and tuned Michael's guitar some more then asked Mike if he could teach Steph the chords. Mike instantly nodded his head as he lead Steph to another room so they wouldn't get distracted since Green Day was being blasted.
I took a video of Calum dancing horribly which failed because Luke got up close and personal with the camera. It looked really weird if my phone wasn't there....
The video was tweeted to Twitter and I took the time to talk to the fans. I had nearly a million followers so there was a trending hashtag " getchloetoamillion "
I laughed as Luke tweeted the hashtag. "You are such a loser."
Luke sat on top of me. "Why thank you." He put his arm around my shoulders so I wrapped mine around his torso, using my free hand to follow people.
I noticed Calum tweeted a photo of us sitting like this so I retweeted it. " @ChloeJones: @Calum5SOS you're a loser "
Fans were going crazy as most shipped it but a few here and there didn't. Luke also retweeted Cal's tweet which made the fans go a tad bit crazier. Luke tweeted me three red hearts and I tweeted him three purple hearts. We kinda have a red/purple heart thing.
