GEORGETTE's POV
After breakfast, I told Wallace I'll be going first because I left something at our house. At the street of their subdivision, I made my way out. Perambulating the street where every houses is dreamt of, luxury cars are parked, and the wealthy and well-known personalities are living. I bowed down my head and stared at the road where I am walking. As I reached the exit of the subdivision, I roamed my eyes around and looked for familiar faces. When I'm contented that no one is familiar here, I hailed for a jeepney. I was sitting behind the driver's seat and I felt that everyone's eyes has been eyeing on me. "Quit staring guys, it's bad. Is it rude for a student to ride a jeepney?" I said as I am scrolling in my cellphone. In my peripheral vision, I saw others of them are whispering to each other while others just altered their sights off me and looked for something interesting. Tch. Well, it's not surprising though. Imagine, the students of the most "well-known and prestigious school in town" were just commuting and riding a jeep? People being judgemental nowadays.
I halted the driver upon reaching the destination and paid my fare. I immediately rode off and walked past through the narrow streets of Quezon City. I was sauntering the street when I accidentaly stepped on a muck. Then the wind blew hard that plastics and garbages came flying and being scattered all over the place. Argh! I'm gonna report this to the baranggay officials!
I was 3 houses away from my apartment when I saw Auntie Rosa, our landlady, playing bingo with our neighbors.
"Auntie Rosa, can I borrow your keys for the apartment? I'll just get something and I will return it straightaway to you."
"Sure thing. Wait, I'll just wait for number 35 to be called. I'll be hitting bingo baby!"
"But maam, I'll be late for classes if I will wait for it."
"Okay fine. Wait amigàs, I'll be back." then she ran to the house and went back with the bunch of keys.
"There. The one with the number 4 on it. Then just return it to Lando"
I nodded and rushed to my room. It was a 3-storey building and my room was on the 2nd floor. I was unlocking my door when Lando, Auntie Rosa's husband came down from the 3rd floor, swaying. Drunk again as usual. So I entered my room, and got the thing what I had left. I ran down and returned the key to Aling Rosa, who's shouting gleefully.
"See?! I won! Give me my 3 thousand pesos idiots! Whoo!"
"Uhm Auntie Rosa, here are the keys. I can't found kuya Lando at the 3rd floor."
"Okay okay, off you go. Bye take care study hard" she rapped and jumped again in joy. "Told you, I'm gonna hit the jackpot for the ninth time baby!"
I left them and jogged my way to school. It's already 7:45 and I'm gonna walk for 10 freaking minutes! I rushed myself and adrenaline strikes me when someone beeped behind me.
"What the--- Wallace!" I turned red when I saw him in his car.
"Hey! Want a lift?" he offered and opened the shotgun seat.
"Uhm, sure thanks" I awkwardly accepted the offer. Good thing I was far from our street and he didn't see me there. Or else..
WALLACE's POV
It was almost 7:30 so I accelerated myself from moving. I ran to the elevator, pushed UG and find my car. I was driving smoothly when I saw Georgette walking under the heat of the sun. Where is her car? Knowing Georgette, she's easily irritated when sun rays touches her flawless skin. So I gave her a beep to call her attention.
"What the--- Wallace!" I saw how her face was shocked when she saw me. Am I a ghost now or what?
"Hey, want a lift?" I rolled my windows and offered my shotgun seat.
"Uhm, sure. Thanks"
"Where is your car anyways? And look at you, you smell horrible!" I teased and drove the highway.
"I am? Oh my gosh." See what I am telling? "Well, my car... uhm.. ran out of gas? Yes! It ran out of gas. It's wheels too got deflated and its windshield got broken so I'll just use it next week when it's fixed." Really? This girl is so independent, and strong too. Imagine? If I were her, I'll just buy a new car or I'll commute by taxi. But she's rich right? It's easy for her to fix things by her money of course.
"Oh sorry for that. You want help or anything? I'll fetch you until your car is okay." she gave out a cool look then answered, "Nah. I'm great, perfectly fine. Really." I heaved out a sigh. Typical Georgette. Very typical.
