I ran up the corridor, over many flights of stairs, until I finally came across him, standing once again in front of that soon to be not blank wall. I decided this was my chance and ran up behind him.

Draco P.O.V:

I stormed away from Snape, angry with him for trying to ruin the glory I could finally bring back to my family, the glory I had to bring back to my family, or I would die. I practically ran up the stairs until I reached the Room of Requirement, I stood in front of it, just thinking, when a hand clamped over my mouth and pulled me back into an empty classroom. The hand released my face slowly, and I turned to face a breathless Amara.

"Look Draco, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry about what I said the last time we met like this, I am also sorry about leaving you hanging at the Quidditch pitch. I was just worried about what my friends would think...I didn't want to go down that road then. So I'm sorry. I hope you can understand."

I stood there awkwardly, not sure what to do. I could understand, it took me weeks to work up the courage to ignore my heritage and talk to her again. I had been battling with myself about it since I met her. Since the first day on the train to the beginning of 6th year, I had tried to push her aside, but when I touched her that day on the train to our 6th year at Hogwarts, I couldn't pretend anymore. Suddenly I knew what to do.
"I can't pretend anymore about the way I feel about you, so you shouldn't either." I said quietly, staring intently into her eyes. I watched carefully as the walls she had built against me crumbled and she finally let her feelings in. She smiled slowly until her entire face was lit up by her beautiful grin.
"Okay Draco. I guess we can give it a shot..." She laughed, her eyes twinkling as my arms shot up in joyful celebration. I pulled her in, arching her back into my stomach and kissing her passionately. Finally, finally I could say we were together. I had been waiting for this moment for longer than I could remember, even if I hadn't known it yet. I grabbed her hand and pulled her out the door and towards the front grounds and the forbidden forest.

Amara's POV:
I screamed lightly, running awkwardly down the grass towards the edge of the forest, trying to catch Draco. Eventually I gave up on being proper and kicked off my heels, sprinting down the soft grass after him. It had been a while since I had had this much fun. Draco didn't stop at the edge of the forest but instead sprinted in, leaving me to tiptoe cautiously after him.
"Draco? Dray this isn't funny come out." I began to get nervous, after all the forbidden forest wasn't somewhere to play. Suddenly a whoosh came from above me and something landed lightly on my back, pushing me to the ground and ripping my new dress on a rock jutting from the ground.
"Dracooooo!" I whined. "You ripped my dress!"
"Oh whatever, I'll get you a new one!" He dismissed it, but I continued to glare at him. He turned fully towards me, captured my chin in his hand and stared into my eyes. "I will get you whatever you want, even if I have to travel to the ends of the earth for it."
I melted at his words, falling into his ice blue eyes, and forgot about everything else. We spent the night there, talking about our lives at the edge of the forest as he held me, warding off the creatures lurking in the dark. I should have been scared, but I couldn't be, not with his arms safely around me.
As we snuck back into the castle in the early morning hours I smiled, thinking it was crazy how after all this time and searching, it was Draco Malfoy who would teach me How To Love.
