PROLOGUE
~*JANVI'S POV*~
Beep beep beep beep
Why was everything so loud all of a sudden? As if I had been placed in a dripping cave. Each splash of water on the rocky bottom was to echo through out the walls. The echo building louder and louder until it hurt to hear it's hidden secrets forming.
Why did it seem to hurt all over? Like thousands of pin needles were sticking themselves into my delicate skin. Each sharp point poking slowly through the flesh until it hit the nerves. Bringing a rush of ache into my dark life.
Was I even alive?
Maybe I was sent up to heaven. Just waiting to be sent through the golden gates and harp music to sing from the clouds.
Or maybe just maybe, I was being sent down to hell. My body already feeling the pain that would just increase as Satin drags me into the death march towards my excruciating hell hole.
From just behind my eyes, a small sliver of white light seemed to poke through. Not even large enough to fit a finger nail. Just big enough for the lonely blackness to feel comfortable. As though I was trapped in a closet or prison of some sort, but knew I could escape if I tried to find my way towards the light. The darkness not feeling as threatening knowing there was a bit of hope still left.
Clawing my mind towards the brightness something seemed to flicker through my mind.
I couldn't be dead. Light doesn't shine this bright in even heaven. No offense God...
Retracing my thinking, the darkness seemed to somehow fringe and tear at the ends, causing my light to become nearer. My brain celebrating slightly at the small achievement I had somehow managed to complete.
Beep beep beep beep
The odd sound seemed... closer. Not as faded or fuzzy as it had been just moments before.
I had to be arriving soon.
Forcing the brightness to become some what clearer, everything was blurry. As though someone had shoved a translucent cotton ball into my eye. Everything in sight was cloudy.
Was I paralyzed? Can I move? Will the needles return?
It's better to try than assume to fail.
Lifting my motions slightly, a nauseating feeling erupted just below my temples. The sickening take over rubbing itself down to my stomach causing me to drop my seemingly heavy head back onto the packed surface below me.
Was this heaven? Hell? Or even purgatory?
No way to tell, except the option to wait and see.
