[Haeri's POV]

Do you believe in Guardian Angels? Yeah, I bet you do. I don't believe in them though. People said that each human has their own assigned Angel, who will protect them at any cost. But, why do you think a lot of people die every second, every minutes, every day? It's because, Angel's aren't true. They are just part of some biblical stories that was created by stupid humans.

Because if Angels were real, why would they let people die? Why would they let my parents die? If they were real, they would protect my parents right? But then, they didn't.

I was just 16 years old when my parents died, though the good thing is I grew up fast and mature than my age, because If people learned that you were young and your parents died they will tend to brainwash you in every way that they could so they can use you in the future.

But they can't do that to me. I was mature enough to know who to trust and who's not. It's not that I hate people, It's just that I want to make sure.

Here I am, at my work. I work as an Assistant Manager of a Cofee Shop in our town. I worked here as a waitress for two years and then fortunately got promoted. So that would sum up to four years.

"I have to go home early, Haeri assist the crew here okay?" our Manager said as he walked towards the door. I nodded at him and bid him good bye. He was nice though, he accepted me here even though he knew that It's against the law. Letting an under age to work, and he was one of the few people whom I trusted.

It was already 10 pm, I told everyone to pack up and settle everything before closing up the store. The last crew bid me good bye before walking away, how nice these crews are. Leaving their superior alone, in the night.

I wasn't scared or anything, but It's still perfect. Not having those loud mouths of them. After few minutes of fixing the lock, I finally secured our store, I walked away from it and feel the night breeze.

I don't have any siblings with me, I was the only daughter of my parents. And my parents died, that is why I was left alone. Alone in this uncanny world. This world the is full of cruelty, cowardness, stupidity and insensitivity. People in this world just care about themselves, just care about what's their standing in the society, just care about the money.

I don't care about them anyways, though a lot of people are selfish, there are some who are still kind. Just like our Manager.

Seemingly, the environment is a bit eerie, I thought It was because there was an upcoming storm but it felt so different.

I fastened my walk and walked pass through a tree wherein there was a horrifying feel, I stoped. I saw in my peripheral vision that there was a guy, dress in black leaning his back on the tree. I didn't look at him though, I just stayed in my position, feeling him.

It was so quiet, there was no car or people or animals or even night insects. It was so quiet that I could even hear my heartbeat. I felt so nervous hearing my heartbeat, faster than the usual. I tried to relax and calm myself but it's useless.

A strong wind blew, it sent chills to my spine. My knees weakened by the sudden chill that came from the wind. The street lights started to flicker as what I can see in my peripherals, the man in black started to walk towards me. The sound of his steps was so loud that I thought there was a speaker near my ear. The lights flickered faster as the man was coming near.

I thought of taking my knife inside my bag but I couldn't move. Three steps, three steps left and he can almost reached me. He stepped once more.

"Haeri," he called me the lights went down and the surroundings went pitch black as I felt my body fell into the ground.
