"B-Breann? Is it really you? Oh god how are you? Where have you been we miss you!" Rick begin to babble non stop.

"Look, Rick is it true you guys are playing in Greenville stadium?" She cut him off.

"Well, yeah. The boys will be playing not me. We're in yucca right now staying in this neat little hotel."

Her heart dropped. Yucca is the next town over!

"Breann why did you call me?" He tried his best not to sound rude.

She was silent for a while. But begin to think. This is rick, he's your best friend. You've been pushing him and everyone away.

"I-Im in Hera. I live here." She closed her eyes.

"I have to see you. Please Breann come and watch. I'll pay for a ticket. Better yet, you can come with me backstage."

"What about Roger?" Her stomach curled again.

"He's going to lose it when he sees you." He sighed "how about, I sneak you backstage, while they're playing so he'll see you after the show. That way the concert won't be spoiled."

"I don't know. I don't think I'm ready."

"I understand." The sound of disappointment cloaked his voice. "Well, the offer still stands if you change your mind.

"Okay. Thank you for everything Rick. Really, I don't know where I'd be without you."

"The pleasure is all mine."

"Can I ask you one more question?" She twirled the phone cord around her delicate fingers.

"Of course."

"How has Roger been? Y'know since I left."

There was silence between them. The kind of silence, that made your ears ring.
Rick gave out a deep breath, "All I can say is he hasn't been the same without you. He still loves you."

She closed her eyes and clasped her heart around the words as they fell from his mouth. He still loves you.

I love him too! "Okay Rick, thank you bye." She hung up before she exploded into a collision of tears.

Everything she had been holding back, for so long couldn't be held anymore. A person could only take so much, and breann, could take a lot.

But now it was time to rebuild herself. She needed a stable life, a good home and a family. She was tired of being alone.

The crying begin to slow as she lay on her floor. She cried until she had no more tears, then cried some more, until her body became weak and everything became black.

And peacefully she was at ease in a sleep that was so deep it was as if her troubles disappeared.

"Breann! Breann!" Her body begin to shake as she opened her eyes and her vision was filled with the image of frank.

"What's the matter with you?! Are you okay? Do you need me to call an ambulance?"

"No, frank its okay. I'm fine."

He pulled her close to her chest and wrapped her in his coat. "You're freezing!" His warmth covered her body and she felt a sudden comfort.

She closed her eyes, feeling this feeling she hadn't felt in a while. She felt wanted.

"Is al angry?" She whispered.

"No, no. Don't even worry about it its all taken care of."

"Thank you frank." She looked at him, and he at her. He liked her so much he begin to turn red.

Oh, the things he'd do for her. Anything she wanted he'd give. If only she knew, but he was too shy to even ask her out.

Mostly afraid of being rejected. His dad was the root of this problem, building up his insecurities. Look at her and look at you! A girl like that would never go out with a boy like you!

He shook the thought away. Having hope one day she'd fall for him as hard as he fell for her.

He remembers the day she walked into the empty diner. He was scrubbing the floor when a girl with rosy cheeks and a yellow sundress walked in.

He looked up once, then again. It was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen.

"Hi, I'm here about the 'hiring' sign outside."
She gave him the warmest, widest, sweetest smile.

"Uh, y-yeah just a second." He said as he was going to get his father. And with his luck, he slipped and fell in front of her.

"Are you okay!" She helped him up instead of laughing.

He smiled at these memories.

"I think I'm okay now." She pulled away from his chest.

"Breann?" He sounded desperate "maybe, if you want you could come by my place later." He didn't know where he dug up this courage from.

"Okay." She gave a casual answer as if it were no big deal.

"Okay?" He said eagar, "I'll call you." He tried to hide is excitement.

She smiled at him and he left. I need to unwind. She told herself.

Hmm, frank.

She thought about him more foundly now. He was extremely dorky, and sweet. And fairly good looking (even if he didn't think so.) He had very dark curly hair, light skin, with hazel-green eyes and freckles that kissed his whole face.

And his smile, it was what made frank frank.

She begin to really think, and this wasn't good. Frank has a stable job, he has a nice house and a good car and he'd make a great husband and father.

She jumped out her skin when she realized what she was thinking. Whoa, I need to stop.
