What hides in the dark

Chapter 1

Hello I'm Alex and my life isn't what you would call "normal". I live in a town that has vampires running the night making it to where no one wants to go out at night unless your drunk or just stupid.

Anyway I'm 17 years old and in high school I have black hair and fairly pale which makes some people think that I am a vampire. I have brown eyes and light pink lips with a nose ring . I guess you could say I'm a little on the emo side but not totally, I love bands and have a little problem with depression and self harm.

I live in a two storie house with a dad that is a work aholcie and Is rarely home, my mother got killed by a vampire who broke the laws and broke into are old house. After that my dad pack all are stuff and we found a new house that just so happens to be a mile or two down from the cemetery where the vampire live. Well they don't leave right in the cemetery there are run down house over there too.

Me and my friends go down to the cemetery to visit are lost ones or so that ray, my cousin can be stupid and try to get eaten. Anyway the vampires go to my school watching all of us not even caring to pay attention to what's going on just looking around at all of us as possible meals. There there only a couple of them there thought so I just try to stay away from the ones I can.

Actually I'm on my way to school now with my cousin ray.

" I hate how they just stair" he whispers to me as we walk past a vampire

"They now they can't eat us, unless it's pass the time where there aloud to kill freely" I say in a low tone " so all they can do is stair" I say as we make it to the school doors

" still creeps me the fuck out" he says as we go to my locker

" then when ever we go to the cemetery why to you scream for them to come get you?" I ask grabbing my stuff

"Cause I know they can't touch me" he smirks and we walk to first hour, history

I walk in first and head to my set in the back and ray sits in his sit up in the front.

We are in the middle of a movie when I see two boys walk in and everyone stops. The teacher stops the movie and turns on the lights causing the two boys to squint 'vampires great' I think to myself as I look at them then the teacher points to two empty sits that just so happen to be right by me.

One on the left and one behind me. I look at ray who is looking at me with the same worried look that I have on my face as the two boys make there way to me and there sits.

I get a brief look at them the one to the left of me has kind of short hair covers in tattoos and has a nose and lip ring, the other one has shoulder length jet black hair and is warring all black like the other one but his face was slightly covered by his hair.

The teacher gives me a 'I'm sorry look' and turns the light off and starts the movie.

I feel the one behind me starring at the back of my head not looking away. I pray for the hour to go by faster so that I can get out of there sight, knowing what their just thinking of me as 'food' .

I shiver at that thought and just keep my attention on the screen.

A while latter the bell rings and I gather my things fast and stand up but I bump into the tattooed guy and stand there in shock not knowing what to do he stairs at me and I look at him with fear plasters on my face.

He reaches his hand out and tries to touch me but ray grabs my arm and pulls me out of the class and I think before I was fully out of the room i saw a hurt look on the guys face but his friend says something to him an they start to walk out to.

"Fuck Alex why didnt you just run?!" Ray says with a shaky voice

" I-I was just to scared I guess" I say and look back to see the same to boys walking about 3 feet back from us I get my phone from my back pocket and go onto my notes app and type something showing it to ray

'THEIR BEHIND US!!'

I close my phone as he looks back and sees them too.

" lets just get to class, quickly" he says and we walk faster to are next class
