Chapter 7

#Shanaya's Diary
#December 25th
"You are Brave,Adorable,Intelligent and Beautiful" said an internal voice with her eyes seeping right into mine, personifying pride. I smiled at my reflection, washed my face and switched on the television.
I see Leonerd and Penny kissing in the first commercial followed by a huge surprise.
I am pretty self confident now, thanks to the "sweet"experiences.
I guess the bad ones make you appreciate the good ones.
'Ping'..ringed my phone..
"Oh! I have a text message from Jason.."
Jason: Hey, How are you?
Me: I am Great, how are you?
And this way we started talking and talked for hours together. I told him everything in my life and he is proud of me for my new confidence.
Jason happens to be a very good friend of mine.He was a senior in my school and his younger brother and I are classmates. He's a Dark guy with well defined facial features. He has this good physique with this crazy bike collection..Boys! Ugh!
Jason: Can We meet today?
Me: yeah sure..today at OakLeaf at 7?
Jason: Yeah done..
Me: :)
"Woah, am I going on a date with him?" I asked myself." Nah,probably Not".

6.45 PM

One spray here and one spray there. Ting! I am ready. I was wearing a red floor length gown with my hair straightened. I wore my nude heels to go perfect with them. My makeup was on tip and I was on top.
I admired the last reflection of me in the mirror and smiled.
Took the car keys and Swoosh to Oakleaf.

OakLeaf Restaurant.

I entered the place with the 'I am coming' sound made by my heels.
I entered and spotted Jason. He came and whispered in my ear lightly, "Merry Christmas Beautiful"!
And suddenly I realized, TODAY WAS CHRISTMAS! How could I forget that? My daily life drama had taken a troll on me. Thank God for Jason!
"Merry Christmas you too Baby" I said.
He pulled the chair, we sat,we talked and had an amazing time!
Jason: "Hey, I'll be back in five."
Me: "Yeah sure.."
I was just figgiting with my food, waiting for Jason to come when suddenly three violinists came and started playing my favourite song, A Thousand Years.
I was a bit freaking out when Out of nowhere Jason comes from behind,gets down on one knee and presents me a heart shaped silver necklace. Jason started speaking,
"Shanaya,you are the best girl I have ever met in my life. The way you smile and laugh off at silly things simply melts my heart. The way you think is something admirable. The way you have been in my life has changed me as a person from within. You complete me,Sweetheart. I don't know what would I do without you,honestly. Today, on this christmas eve I put my heart out. I present you my soul, ripped hard and raw. I present you my everything as a present and I hope you unwrap it gently. This heart shaped necklace personifies my love for you. I always want to be near to your heart,no matter what. I always want to stick around you through thick and thin. Just remmember,whenever you need me,touch your heart and I will be there. I love you, Be my Girlfriend?"
The moment he stopped speaking, everyone at the restaurant stood up and clapped loudly, cheering me to say a 'Yes'.
And guess what?
"Yes Jason, I will be your girlfriend" is what I said.
I felt so happy! It's been said that everything falls into it's place a day. And it did on me.
This Christmas eve, I was Blessed.
Fuck that gym guy, I have my Jason.
I guess when you start loving yourself, love will finds its way.
I guess that's Life, and I certainly Love Mine!
We kissed gently after that and had the best evening of my life.
That night, I went to bed with the widest smile possible.
