"Something Different"- Ally's P.O.V

"So just for clarification your mother is the Queen?" I asked for the third time because I just couldn't believe it. Nico nodded his head.

"How is that even possible?" I then asked. "I second that," Samuel said. "It's a bit of a tale. You both should sit down," Nico said and he motioned for us to sit down.Samuel and I took our seats as Nico began.

"As you all ready now Aristotle was my father and met my mother Pythias,a biologist, when he was doing some work on biology. They were quite a dashing a pair, and after a brief week of courting they got married. A few years later I was born.

All the Unwants look to Aristotle as though a king and Pythias as there Queen though my parents did not like to be called that. They led our people into a time of prosperity but then things took a turn for the worse. Unwants started to go missing. First only one or two but then in a month over 20 Unwants went missing.By then I was 15 and father assigned me as head guardian. He assigned me to look into these disappearances. The trail led me to someone I never would have thought, Pythias, my mother.

My mother was not only a biologist but she also an embryologist. She was fascinated by the creation of life specifically Unwant's life. What decided who would become an Unwant? Was there a cellular difference between those that controlled Fire, Water, Earth, or Air? My father new about her interest, supported them even for us to gain a better understanding of who we are but my father and I did not she would go to such extremes as kidnapping Unwants to use as test subjects.

When I discovered her in the act she seemed completely different then the mother I knew. She kept rambling that she was so close as she cut open Unwants removing their brains,legs,arms. I asked to what and her face when she answered that question was one that looked of pure evil."

Nico looked at Samuel and I with an expression of fear.

"My mother believed she knew what caused us to be Unwants and she wanted all of us to be able to control all the elements. She was using the stolen Unwants to test her theories but their seemed to be a flaw in her methods because they all came back as zombies that could control two elements...that was until me.

The night I found my mother she experimented on me. The pain was unimaginable and as she ejected her serum into my arm. I don't know how much time has passed but I felt like I was dead. But as I opened my eyes, I could see my mother smiling. At the time I thought I had become one of those zombies but as father arrived to take away mother he just looked as me as well as the other guards. I asked what was the problem and that's when my mother pulled out a mirror and showed me my reflection. You can guess what I saw Ally," Nico said to me and I nodded my head. Those eyes are something I will never forget.

"But why didn't you turn into a Zombie?" I asked.

"I honestly don't know. Mother was locked away in the dungeon and father well did not know what to do with me. All of the Unwants just looked at me like I was an abomination so I had to keep to myself. But only a few days after mother capture, the Therionthrope aroused and everything broke into panic. Mother escaped from her cell and was trying to talk to the creature when father sacrificed his life to bury it. Thus mother was buried with it as well."

"So when the Theironthrope was released two years ago your mother was as well?" Samuel asked.

Nico nodded his head. "I think so. And I believe she is here to finish her work to let Unwants control all four elements."

Samuel shook his head "She has already started. There are reports of Unwants zombies walking around everywhere."

Nico pulled his hand into a fist and banged it on the table. "We need to stop her before she takes away anyone else's life."

I looked down at my hands that were now clear. Even though they didn't show rotting flesh I could still feel that something different was inside of me.

"Nico, Samuel.. she turned me into one of those zombies."
