Dole didn't expect to be more excited in going to town than now. And he was still dazed as he heared the sound of money making a cling sound in his small bag.

He knew he didn't help with hanas garden, but somehow he felt like he made a great achievement.

He smiled under his veil.

Hugging the bag closer to his body, the person who brought the Vegetables was a known restaurant in the town. Hanas vegetables are always the best in terms of taste and appearance.

And the restaurant is growing, so the price of hanas vegetables are higher than normal or from the market.

Hana soon came out of the crowd, a frown on her face, the crowd was becoming bigger and bigger for some reason.

Rumors flying around that they were some villagers who fled the the edge of the kingdom to avoid the brewing war.

She frowned, feeling a bit of dread, why does it seems like in both worlds. War doesn't seem to let her go?..

But shes certain this time
. She will live as a normal person.. She look at doles happy eyes. His face still covered by the veil

.. Besides.. This time... She had someone to protect.

They went home on the same little wagon, the only wagon in the village that goes to town everyday and paid their fare.

As they walk back to their house, with dole holding the lighter ones they bought.

Hana immediately told him her plans. He is her 'husband' now. She believed he can also give some comments on the future she is planning.

"So im planning on building a house.. Well, more like a courtyard.. One that can at least resist the cold when winter.. But at this pace.. " she sighed. She had good money from selling things.
But its not enough.

She didn't want to freeze from the cold. Her bamboo and wood house is good, but its nothing in winter.

She needs a good amount of money..

She look at him. And she hesitated. "Well.. How about i go back to working in the mine--"

She was cut off as soon as she mentioned the mine. He turn to glare at her.

Like a child throwing tantrums. "No! Absolutely not! "

"But.. "

Its the easiest way to earn money.. Besides.. Shes strong to booth.

"The mine is too dangerous, we coul--" dole stopped as soon as he was about to say, ask about his family some financial help.

.. He forgot.. He was no longer a noble..

Hanas lips opened.. And she closed them again.

She smiled.. "I understand.. " she understand his worries. And she doesn't want him to feel sad about his family..

Somehow.. Maybe if she go hunting while farming.. She can make do..

Dole bit his lips as he stare at how she pondered.

He clench his fist.

On the following days, dole help with the farm while she goes to hunt,. Slowly she manage to get some money , first collecting enough for a start before talking to some workers.

Dole also manage to familiarize himself with town, and soon he startes going alone.

Hana was surprised. , but got used to it.

Then one day, as she descends the mountains holding some pheasants. She trotted back to the hill, seeing the light in the house, she walk over with a smile.

She had taken some wild goose eggs, one of doles favorite. She was to surprise him with it.

Just then, as she open the door. She paused.

Dole was standing infront of the table. Counting gold coins scattered around..

She opened her mouth.. And closed them.. "Dole..? "

Where did he get them?

Dole looked up. There was no veil on his face. But there was excitement in his eyes, that was so beautiful even with that hideous mark.. He was beautiful to her either way.

"Hana! " he laughed like a child. "Look! We can have enough to make a house! Then we can also buy a horse to travel easy in villagers and towns. And even have some craftsman create a wagon for us... "

He stopped seeing her eyes..

Hana stared at the gold on the table. It was shining,.. But.. "Where did you get them? " she ask softly.

Dole smiled,.. "It doesn't matter.. "

She went in, setting down her bow and catch on the ground. Then she went inside , peeking at the things she was used to seeing.

Some of his jewelries.

But they weren't there..

She turn to him. ".. Dole.. I.. " she felt like she failed him.

Dole rub the back of his neck.. ".. Its.. Just jewelries.. Besides.. Look,. We can have enough money to buid us a courtyard before winter comes.. " he sounded genuinely happy.

But she felt more guilty.

She watch as he starts to talk in excitement. "Then we can even create a farm., i wanted to take care of some poultry too,. You know they lay egg fast" he continues to talk in excitement.

.. Hana stared at him.

He looks different.. He genuinely looks happy
But she felt like she failed him. .. She knew how much she cared about the jewelries, it was probably the only thing that was left by his family, that reminds him of them.

He was still talking when he suddenly felt his hand was grabbed, as he was pulled by a stronger force. And he clashed with her.

His throat felt blocked..

Eyes widening as she wrap her arms around him. Burying her head in the crook of his neck.. "Im sorry" she murmured. She felt like a failure..
"Im.. Really sorry"..

Doles widened eyes slowly curved.. He smiled.. Patting her back.. ".. Were married.. Youre trouble is mine too.. "

Hana was silenced.

And the burden on her shoulders seem to be lifted.. Right..

She had always thought she was alone like she used to..

But now he is here..

"Its alright hana.. " dole muttered softly. "Besides.. I know you can make it up to me. "

He knew she will,

She hummed softly. Closing her eyes as she remained in her stance of hugging him, feeling his arms around her.

"Ill make it up to you.. I promise. "
